Halloween Bash

My student-friend Amy went with us in a Korean Store in Masan Where they sell Halloween Costume last night. Since we went there for the "last minute", we didn't get the costume that really fit the kids... Oh well, we're going to let them go and have fun anyway, with or without a costume... We got an Indian Boy costume for EJ but it was too big and Rylie want to use it lol.. We bought a Lil' Devil for our princess... It reminds me of her very first costume made by her Aunt when she was four months old.. Here's the pic of what we bought..

Daddy Einstien

My husband participated to a contest "Are you smarter than a CT Joy student?", the base version of "Are you smarter than a..." show on Tuesday night. The questions thrown at him were difficult that I don't even know most of them. But hubby, answered them all correctly hehehe.. Good job hon, we're so proud of you! He told us that we are his lucky charm for winning. He won $100 gift certificate. Nice timing for Christmas hehehe. Here are some of the pics. Great Job Daddy! That's an early gift from Daddy Santa!

Fashionista

I trimmed the sides of my hair to add layer on it last Saturday and somehow my daughter saw me do it. Well, while I was busy cooking today, my daughter got so quiet so I called her.. Here she came running with a handful of hair and said "Don't I look pretty Mom with my new hair cut?" I was like "holy crap" lol.... Here are some snapshots...
while I was fixing her hair, I was telling her not to do it anymore. She cried and told me "I'm so sorry Mom, I promise I won't do it anymore". Gosh, kids are so ornery. When hubby arrived I told her the story and he was laughing because he remembered doing it too when he was a kid... No wonder!

Smile

Smile is contagious. So if you wear a smile everytime, you can make the world smile too. It doesn't hurt to smile and it does not cost a penny either. So why frown all the time and put wrinkle on your face if you can just wear even a simple smile on your face? You don't need big bucks to make yourself pretty, just smile all the time and you will sure look beautiful. Oh, admit it, you're smiling now while reading this... Keep on smiling!

Blog in Transition

In behalf of my husband, I apologize for those who keep visiting his blog but can't access to it. His blog is in transition with its new domain so even him can't view it for a few days now. We don't know how long it will take for the new domain to take effect but we greatly appreciate your enthusiasm to visit. Hopefully it will be fixed soon because he is already aggravated hehehe.. he told me to tell you guys sorry for the inconvenience!

National Flower of Korea

Rose of Sharon is the Korea's national flower. Rose of Sharon blooms for about 100 days from early July to late October. Koreans have loved the rose of Sharon for centuries. Its botanical name is Hibiscus Syriacus. The rose of Sharon blooms from early July through late October. Some 2,000 to 3,000 bloom on a single plant, which is strong enough to survive even when it is transplanted or cut for decoration or flower arrangements. Thus, the flower represents the wish for lasting national development and prosperity. Koreans cherish and care for the national flower as it symbolizes the many glories the country has experienced and the trials and tribulations the people have overcome. here are some photos; are you familiar with this?

Weeping Cherry or Willow Tree

When I first saw this tree in West Virginia, I am so fascinated because of its interesting feature. Hubby said that some people call it weeping Cherry because the leaves are like tears flowing down. But in that music video entitled Whisky Lullaby by Brad Paisley and Allison Kraus this is called Willow Tree.

Here's the flower of the weeping cheery.. Isn't it gorgeous? I used to take pictures of our neighbor's weeping cherry when it is fully bloomed, it is really beautiful!

Here's a perfect shot of a willow tree!

Any additional info? Just please leave me a message thru the comment, thank you!

Astig

Here's my son posing with Amy. He like that sun glasses so much that he don't want to remove it even when going to sleep lol.. It's funny when children like something so much that when you try to take it away from them they throw a feat. I find it very funny too that everytime my student will leave, my son would always get his shoes and want to go with her hahaha. So I always end up taking him in sending Amy to the gate. I think my son is very fond of Asian girls lol..

Feeling of Guilt

Okay here's a brief recap of tonight's event. My children were cool when we dropped them at the child care center at 6 pm. Although I was enjoying the event, my mind was pre-occupied with thoughts of my kids. We stayed till after dinner then we came back to get the kids. I felt so bad because they both cried looking for us. My daughter fell asleep but my son did not. I felt so guilty leaving them there because they are not use to it. My daughter told me "Please don't attend to parties anymore Mom." I don't think I will be able to this again... Sigh... I'll post about the ball tomorrow.. Goodnight folks.. Thank you so much for visiting! Hope I can visit you back tomorrow before I go to work.. oh crap, I have work tomorrow.. Oh Man! I'm leaving you these beatiful caption and photo for you to reflect.. Good night!

Navy Ball

Me and hubby will be attending a Navy Ball tomorrow night and it is giving me so much anxiety because this will be the first time that I will leave the kids with other people. The Youth Center will be taking care of the kids for those couples who are attending the occasion for 3 dollars an hour. Not so bad, I am just skeptical because I am sure the kids will freak out. Gosh, its hard to deal with this separation anxiety ha ha ha. But anyhow I bought some things yesterday that I might need tomorrow instead of paying somebody to do it, I'd rather do it and keep the stuff for future use hehehe.. The stack of shoes I have here don't match the dress I am going to wear so I bought a pair. Daughter requested a hair dryer. Hmmmnnn, i think my daughter is a beauty conscious than I am lol...

Shopping Spree

Hubby took a half day off yesterday so we can go to Daegu and send my Mother some money. Since we transferred overseas, I find it hard to send money online, I have tried three online sources but they keep rejecting my transactions so I got fed up with it and said screw them. I'm glad to have found the Western Union there although we have to drive 2 hours, its worth it than dealing with online crap. I also found out that its cheaper to send there. But anyhow, we left at 12 noon, got lost a little bit but we managed to find the right way. Thanks to the GPS that our friend lent to us. We didn't turn it on at first because hubby though he would be able to pull it through without being lost but as usual our luck in directions sucks hahaha.. We both are, which isn't good, oh crap!
We arrived to our destination at around 2 pm, did shopping a little bit and ate at BK. Our lil' ones had a chance to play in the play area of the resto. Here are some snappy..
After we ate we went to the Commisary and bought some stuff then we headed home at around 5 pm. So there was our yesterday's happening...

Cherry Blossom Festival

These pictures were taken during this year's Cherry Blossom Festival; the first week of April. Cherry Blossom reminds me of the movie Memoiers of the Geisha because there are ome scenes there with CB flowers. One of my friend here, makes a document of the stages of this charming flower from the erupting of the bulbs, when it blooms and until it fall off the ground. I find it a pretty neat idea.
Here's us enjoying the scenery....
Isn't it amazing how God made everything beautiful?
I'm so thankful that I am not blind, I can see everything around me
I am thankful that I am not deaf, I can hear the musical chirps of the birds
Thank you Lord that You made me experience all these!

Kielbasa + Sauerkraut

Do you eat kielbasa (pronounced as Kabasi)? I was craving for that smoked sausage that my father in law used to cook in his house. So when we went to the big commisary in Daegu today, we bought two packages of it along with a big jar of sauerkraut (firmented cabbage). When we arrived home, hubby cooked it. It's easy to prepare, you just basically slice the sausage and add the sauerkraut and bring it to a boil, add some black pepper and tadah, good meal na. Hubby added a little bit of Michelob light beer to take away the sourness of the cabbage.

100 days flower

One thing I loveabout Korea is their people's love and passion about flowers. Everwhere you go there's an array of neatly arranged flower beds and gardens. It's so refreshing on the eyes. Aside from the famous cherry blossoms, I also love this flower called 100 days. Lilac and pink are the colors of the flower when they bloom. Here's the beauty. Aren't they pretty? Wondering why its called 100 days? Our tour guide told me that it is called by that name because the blooming of the flowers takes 100 days from August-October.

Pig in a Blanket

Me and Rylie made pigs in a blanket for our merienda (snack) this afternoon. We had fun doing it! It's so quick and easy to prepare. We bought a pack of Pillsbury crescent roll and wrap up the smoked sausages, put it in the oven and bake it for 20 minutes and its done! uhhhmmm yummy!
Try to do it with your kids, its fun!

Dash of Fall

These pictures were taken last year's fall in front of my father in law's house. My son is only 9 months old in this pic. These are just dashes of Fall that reminds us back home. Good thing we have a lot of photos.
My two precious angels enjoying the leaves!
Its always good to have a stock of photos to go through when you are feeling homesick! Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Luncheon Date

I did not cook today because I'm a little bit lazy. I'm blaming Ms. Lady red for that, so hard to do things when you have cramps because of.... hayyyy... But I was so delighted when I received my husband's email from work saying that he's taking us out to lunch.. Wohoooooo! So after an hour session with my student Amy, we went to the Galley and had our lunch. We devoured some chicken cordon bleu with joejoe potatoes and vegetable salad... yummmmmy! But of course everywhere I go, I have my camera with me, always ready to capture the moment hehehe..

Here's EJ with Amy, Kimchi!!!!

Here's my daughter enjoying her garden salad..

Halloween Glories

Okay let's play a little trick here. Can you make a guess what made my children faces look like these, wide eyed and bulgy cheeks? Can you tell what's inside the treat basket? Tell me what you think okay?

These pictures were taken last year's Halloween. The outfit were made by my sister in law Crystal who love sewing costumes and other stuff. We miss you Chris!

Here's us trick or treating in the neighborhood. Tried out the hair wigs that Shelby (hubby's niece Jen's daughter) used as part of her Halloween costume. Taken at my dad in law's house. These pictures were taken 2 years ago. The tiger outfit was also made by my sister in law. I was 6 months preggy here with my son. Halloween is a fun holiday that the whole family enjoys. We're going to miss my husband's family back home. We'll see guys next year. We're missing and love you so much!
