This is the second part of our Father's Day celebration. We spent some quality time with my husband at home in the morning and then we spent the rest of the day at Dad's! We devoured some pork baby back ribs, egg noodles, green beans, and cream of corn.
We always thank God that HE continuously bless our Dad with good health. The only thing that bugs Dad once in a while is his shingles, my husband would put a local anesthetic called Xylocaine or lidocaine on his skin whenever he is in pain. He is turning 90 years old in few more months and we are so happy that we get to enjoy his company everyday. Our children are still young so I want them to have more photos with their Pap.
Link with me every Friday through Color Connection. You can post any color that you like.
How endearing!!!! Glad to read that he continues to be of good health.

Deleteshingles, not nice, very painful.
ReplyDeleteThat is my sleep deprived brain thinking. It's really hot here in Singapore, and good that I am staying in my sister's place so I don't have to pay for accommodation, and I have 1 month so I don't have to rush. I wake up at 3 am in the morning because it is 8 am in New Zealand.
I got chickenpox o I am worried myself that I could get this shingles too when I get old. You are right, Dad said that it is very itchy and painful.
DeleteWe love going to parks with water fountains, too. They make parks come alive! Hope you can visit back: http://www.pensivethoughts.com/2012/06/im-a-well-behaved-pupil-today-mom.html

Thanks for the prayer and visit, will hop over in a little bit.
DeleteThese are great photos of your family and father- & mother-in-law. You sound like a very loving and caring daughter-in-law, wife and mother. Your extended Father's Day celebrations were so special, especially for your kids.
