Does your child/children helps you with household chores? Just from my observation, not all kids is willing to help in the household chores but with proper guidance, your child would learn how to help you without you imposing it.
Mr. Burrito is my little helper at home when his sister is at school. He likes to help in washing the dishes everyday. The key is their willingness in doing it. If you impose it, they would resist. So I always ask them if they want to help and I always get a positive response which makes me very happy. Another favorite chore they love to do is laundry. Sometimes, we do our math lesson and organizing skill with this household chore. Our newly washed mink blankets |

ReplyDeleteAllowing our kids to help with household chores will turn them into responsible adults. Here's my Happiness entry: http://www.pensivethoughts.com/2012/03/the-little-boys-performance-in-school-according-to-his-teacher.html
ReplyDeleteT’is a shame children cease wanting to help in the kitchen as they age. We still wash our dishes at this old place. Your little helper looks like he in really into his job. genie

Our Grandchildren live with us for the time being. We don't have any problems when we ask them to help with doing the dishes, taking out the trash etc. They also help do a lot of the preparation and baking. They get hands on experience from start to finish! Nice Post.

Good job, little man! :) That is a good thing. So far I have no problem with my kid since he does love to help in everything that I do at home. Without even asking him he just steps in to help, sometimes maybe even too much help. hahahahaha.... It is always nice to let them help you and at the same time have fun because kids are all about fun when doing things. :) Visiting mommy.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Mr. Burrito. You're right, the key is willingness. Have a great week ahead, Rose. visiting for CC.
ReplyDeletegrabe, ang kyot kyot ni Mr. Burrito!!! gusto ko pang-gigilan :D kakatuwa :) you are definitely one happy and blessed mom to have rugrats as young as they are who are both willing to help you with chores :')

Ha ha, they are busy little bees! Thank you leaving a comment on my pink coffee tables!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have good little helpers. My kids used to like to do those same things. Dishes were always a fun chore for them. My daughter liked matching the socks too, she had trouble folding them, but loved matching them up. When she got a little older she wanted to vaccum, so that became her chore.
ReplyDeleteCherish those times, for way too soon they grow up.
what a sweet helper he is Sis, that makes his Mommy very happy :-) My kids have chores too, they help me set the table before we eat. Returning the visit from Happiness is...

ReplyDeleteI must admit you are a better parent than me. My kids do not share household chores with me. If ever they do, I have to pay them for their works. Well, we can never have everything in life. Great that even EJ helps in some household chores. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
