During the Christmas Play at my daughter's school, her partner was supposed to be her husband. It was cute to watch them.
Before the start of the play, one of the moms came and talked to me. She was laughing because she said that her son asked my daughter for a DATE? What????? A first grader asking for a date? It freaked me out a little. Then she said that my daughter said "NO" to her son which she found very clever. Oh thank goodness!
Then a few weeks ago, he gave this craft that he did for my daughter. My daughter said that he asked her again if they can go for a date (watch movie specifically). Oh my, this is making me so worried wahhhh. I told my daughter that she can not date until she's 18 hahaha. I might be the most paranoid parent there is lol. But hey, I never got to experienced that kind of thing till I was in my late teens lol.
Ms. Burrito gave this animal toy to her brother which he found fun to feed with. Oh boy, what is the matter with kids nowadays. Phew!
oh, my, oh my! i'm sure their idea of date is that they may be allowed to talk and play together^_^.
ReplyDeletesuddenly, i remember the daughter when she had her boyfriend :(

Hahaha kakalokah ang mga bata ngayon ate. Kaso sabi nung boy eh magsisine daw so nalokah ang nany dito lol.
DeleteSeems they get started earlier and earlier...:)
ReplyDeleteBet he just wants to be friends.
xo bj
Well, they are already friends but he wants to go out lol. Not gonna happen soon on my watch lol.
DeleteHow darling!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Thanks for popping back Shelia.
Deletehhaaha...at talagang he asked Rye out...kakatuwa talaga...cute sya infairness...joke!
ReplyDeleteHi sis, nalikah talaga koh lol. Yang partner ni Rye, very cute yan but he isn't the one who asked her out. Ang mahirap pa eh pasaway yung bata.
DeleteAaw, I'm sure the sweet boy just wants a friend...too cute!!
ReplyDeleteJane x
I hope he does but they are already friends lol.
DeleteMy grandson is 8 and he's already had several "girl friends" but I wouldn't worry until she's older. Kids tend to go on group dates these days at least until high school.

Play date is fine with me as long as it's a girl. When it comes to my kids, I find it really hard to trust other people around them.
DeleteTalk about growing up too fast!

If he is a nice little boy, you might invite him over to play with both Burritos, and bring his mom with him to have coffee with you while they play, but it sounds as if Ms Burrito has her head on straight when it comes to dating.
ReplyDeleteK
Hi Kay, maybe I should do that lol.
DeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteHmm, bata nga naman....in fairness, kay toy lang yon, marunong silang magbigay ng concern pa rin.
ReplyDeleteIbang iba na mga kabataan ngayon Liz.
DeleteSo cute! That little craft is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie.
DeleteThat's really cute ! probably the boy doesn't even know what a "date" is, lol ! I love the gift, that's also cute !
ReplyDeleteThanks Gattina. The boy is very persistent too. Good thing my daughter is firmed with her "NO".
DeleteFunny but true...i love your post.
ReplyDeleteThanks R1.
DeleteIts funny how kids pick things up like this. Ms Burrito is not impresses, LOL. Nice octopus though.
ReplyDeleteI know, it might sound cute but it really makes me nervous lol.
DeleteUggg! When my son was 4 there was a little girl who's mother would help her write love letters to my son. I did not find it cute at all. Keep telling her no boyfriends. I'm sure the little boy does not understand what he is doing. He may even have someone pushing him. Think about it ~ When kids start dating at 12-14 what happens when they are 16-18? Yicks!
ReplyDeleteExactly my point Lisa. I don't want my daughter to be thinking of boys at this very young age. I want them to build a good future which means that they have to concentrate with their studies first before anything else.
Deleteyou're still lenient, mommy rose, because i'm thinking that when i have a daughter, she is not allowed to date until she graduates college/university and has a decent job. lol. looks like you need to hire a bodyguard for ms. burrito. you can't prevent boys from getting attracted to her because she is definitely pretty and charming (like mommy!) can you just imagine how's it gonna be for her 8 to 10 years from now? i'm sure daming aakyat ng ligaw sa bahay nyo nyan ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha it is so hard to do that here because of the independence they have when they turn 18 but I am with you on that.
Deleteoh dear!! my husband would have had a heart attack!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, my husband said that he would guard our daughter when she's already a teen lol.
DeleteOh, GOD! Delikado sis, ang babata pa:(
ReplyDeleteVisiting for OT! Hope you can stop by:)

they look lovely in that costum. i think mommy, no need to worry, ms. burrito got a good head on her shoulder by saying no, good girl! :) but yeah, i understand you. at pursigido si boy, ha, hehehe! visiting from OT, hope you can visit me back. thanks and have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem with living in the US with all the permissiveness around. You will always worry for your daughter. There is also the problem of peer pressure when she is a little bit older. Just be sure Rylie will always open up to you in all matters of girl/boy relationship. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
