Hugs and Holding Hands

A couple of weeks agi when we had a heavy rain, I looked for my kids inside the house and in our basement but they weren't there. I peeked in our backdoor and there they were, watching the rain  with matching hugs.  I smiled because they also geared themselves with hooded shirts.
Later that day, I was trying to  take some photos of them in the swing but they kept hiding  under the umbrella lol.
Hugs and holding hands are just part of  our family's practice in showing our affection to each other.
Give lots of hugs to your love ones, it always makes  the heart feel so loved!

Labradors

Our neighbor has two labs, they are very gentle when they play to the kids.
What I like about them is the fact that they don't offer to run away.
The owner can just  let them  sit beside  her while she is gardening
I told my husband that we  if we ever get an addition, we should get  either a labrador or a retriever because they are very good with kids.
Here's Ms. Burrito with the chocolate and black labs.

Treasure Island Flea Market

I mentioned in one of my blogs that we went to the Treasure Island Flea Market are in Steubenville Ohio this morning. Hubby wanted to canvas for prices on porch furniture.  They definitely have  better selection and prices  compared to the ones that we saw in stores.
When our porch gets done, we would get some  furniture that we could use like  a glider and coffee table.
We also found a good deal  on a furniture set that  would be great to use  at our back porch.
The kids took some time  to enjoy the play area   at the said place.
I took  shots of the photos below when we arrived home,.  My miniature roses are blooming good.
I am glad I have some marigolds, deer don't like 'em.   They ate some of  my  celosia though.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Enjoy the labor day celebration folks.

God's Marvelous Gift

Life is not always a bed of roses
In my experience, it is full of surprises
You'll win some and you'll lose some.
Be prepared, be strong, and be resilient
Because when test strikes, it hurts like a spike.

People can be wicked at times
Exercise forgiveness and don't hold a Grudge
Because even in Grandeur times
You will experience Grief and disbelief
Hold on and have a tight Grip on your faith
Life GOES on and we must move on.

Exercise love not hate
Be Grateful for all the grace you receive
Express your Gratitude and appreciation
We only have one life to live
We must enjoy GOD's marvelous gift!

You'l learn about yourself and realize
that there should never be regrets
But a lifelong appreciation of the  choices you made.

Pre-Schooler at Home

Our son is suppose to go to pre-school this year but he wasn't ready yet so we did not force him. I am teaching him at home instead.  Last week was our first week and he did good so far.
We only have two hours   of  session on weekdays, from 10-12.    I picked that time because that's when he is very attentive.
We only did  four days last week but this week will be a five-day week full of  fun for the two of us.
I am  happy that he is showing interest in leaqrning compared to  last year when I tried to  teach him.  He can write his name already.  There are letters that he finds it hard to write but  I am sure that in  time, he will get it.
I have a pre-school  book that I bought in  Walmart and I am slowly introducing it to him.
I am so proud of you Mr. Burrito.
I will be very busy  from now on because of my pre-schooler at home.
This is him when he is getting tired, he would say "Can I take a break please?" Lol!
With patience, he will learn the things that  he need to  learn before going to kindergarten next year.
