Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ralph Waldo Emerson said:

"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."
Our sky looked like that last weekend.

Through the Window Glass

I took these shots with my point and shoot camera last Sunday when we got out from our car to go inside the church. I like the reflection of the tree through the window glass of St. Joseph School.
Doesn't it look like  you are inside the building and you are looking outside through the window glass?

Frugal Gardening

Here's what keeps the frugal gardener busy.  Transferring my plants from  our  front walkway to our backyard.  I am done with it now so we are just waiting for the contractor to start with the porch renovation.  Oh, I still have to transfer my roses but I'll wait for the  construction to start, maybe they could help me dig out my thorny roses with their  equipment hehehe.
Here's our vegetable garden looks like now.  The lettuces and the beans are  getting thick and the tomatoes are catching up too.  We put the wire fence around it  to  hinder our  dog from getting inside and tearing up the plants.
New addition to  our backyard.  I dressed up the mailbox we put  there for  the bird and planted  some flowers around it.  I also connected it to the Lilac bush that we planted   there three years ago.
I used  the rocks I found  at the  flower bed in front instead of buying bricks.  Thanks to my SIL for  giving the kids those concrete  car and star molds a couple of years ago.

The only thing I bought on this flower bed is a bag of mulch.  There you go friends, it might not be as fancy as your garden but I am trying to beautify my backyard without spending  too much. I am trying to save some moolah for Tuscany Holidays, opps... you know that I am just kidding right?  What I am not kidding is that, I am  saving for our upcoming getaway next month.

Paper Roses

I posted some photos of this flower at my other blog and I named her Powder Puff because I don't know the name. Three commenters identified it as three layered poppies. Maybe this belong to poppy family because the way the  bud hang down, it resembles  how the poppy looks like when it's getting ready to pop the flower.
Whenever I see the full bloom of this, it reminds me of the song Paper Roses because it looks like a crepe paper made  flowers hehehe.
Thanks for visiting!

Against the Blue Sky

The following photos were taken at a moving vehicle a couple of weeks ago.  I like the thin lining of clouds  against the blue sky.

See Through

People in the play area at the mall is probably thing that I'm crazy because when I looked up in the ceiling and saw the sky, I took a pic hehehe.  Anyhow, just leaving you my two cents of thought before going to bed.  G'nite everyone, thanks so much for your visits!

Cherry Tree Blooms

The cherry tree at the back of my father-in-law's house has bloomed already. I took these shots last Sunday during our Easter gathering.
The birds love this tree during summer time when the fruits are riping already.
Thank you everyone for visiting, for leaving your thoughts, and for being a constant online acquaintance and friend!

Cloudy and Windy

I took these photos when we were driving going to my FIL for a visit.
Right now, it is cloudy and windy over at our side and the rain might dump on us.  I have to get my daughter to school and I am praying that  it won't rain during that time.

Chilly Happiness

Hubby would go nuts if he can't go out the house in a day. So even if I don't want to go somewhere sometimes because of the weather, I go with them anyway. Last weekend, it was chilly but then they insisted to go to the park and now they all have colds except me.
Mr. Burrito liked this girl that layed with them while we were there.  He was telling us over and over again that he like that girl lol..
We had fun exploring the nearby woods (will post some pics next  time), I just wish that they did not get  a cold.

Have a  good weekend everyone and thanks for dropping by.

Air Gun

Last week, a group of bum teenagers drove by and hit  the back of our truck with an air gun.  I was bummed out at first but hubby said it's easy to clean it up so  I just took my camera and took a shot of it.  I like the reflection of the  surroundings, the sky, and my shadow in it.  Good thing this paint is washable.

Shining Through

Photos were taken when we were driving hom from Chuck e Cheese some two weeks ago.

Nice Weather

The weather was nice today.  My husband  took our dog for a walk around the neighborhood.  He also took some pictures for me, thanks hon.  Thanks everyone for the prayers, it seems that they are getting better although   Mr. Burrito still has a fever.  Ms. Burrito is planning to go back to school tomorrow but will see.  Goodnight and thanks for visiting and for leaving your thoughts.

Snow is Better than Ice

My daughter and I doesn't mind walking from school to home  during MWF when my husband is in school.  It's fun to walk plus it gives us exercise and a time to play outside.  The photos below were taken last Monday.
Ms. Burrito wanted to walk in the field where snow was thick.
It gave me a chance to take some photos.
She also tried to climb at our neighbor's tree before we proceeded home.
Snow is better than ice because you can actually have fun but with ice, it is hard to walk on a sidewalk and you always have a fear of busting your kister lol.

I got a bit scared when we drove  to my FIL's house to get the kids (they decided to  went with Dad after school).  The road was so bad that we were starting to  slid.  Oh boy, I hope that this bad weather should end soon.

Mini Icicles

Last year, we had some huge icicles hanging in our roof line but this year we only have mini ones.
I thought of taking the pics on a different angle to give the look a twist.  What do you think?
Here's how it really looked like, the normal view.
Happy sky watching every one!

Sky Watch Friday

TGIF! I can sleep good tonight and not worry about waking up early tomorrow yippe! I feel bad for my kids that they have to wake up early but this is a good practice for them. Anyhow, the photo above was taken a couple of days ago when we were driving to visit my FIL. Hope everyone will have a great weekend. It's getting coler everyday, whoa, I am scared of winter lol but looking forward for a beautiful scenery of Fall.

By the way, to all the grandparents out there, Happy Grandparents day. Today is your day and we thank you for all the great things you have done!

Rainy Thanksgiving

Good morning everyone, just a quick update here. I am doing some lumpia to bring to my FIL's home. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving there. Hubby checked the weather online and it's going to be a rainy Thanksgiving. Oh well, it's thanksgiving so we can't really complain lol..
These photos were taken a couple of days ago when we went to visit Dad.
It's been gloomy this week and today the rain will pour.  Well, it's actually pouring now.
Enjoy the rest of the day folks and thanks for visiting.
An art made by our daughter from her school.
Happy Thanksgiving to US residents and have a nice day to all!

Cotton Balls in the Sky

I took these shots when we went to the Steubenville Mall last weekend.  The sky was covered with cotton ball-like clouds. For the past days, the weather here is  weird, one day it's rainy and then the next day, it's sunny.  One day it's cold and the next day it's warm.  No wonder people are getting  cold because of the sudden change in temperature.
