We live very close to my children's school so even on Winter days, we walk. It's a good exercise for all of us. Sometimes, my husband would drive the kids in the morning when he goes to work but when there is a two-hour delay, we have to walk. Going home from school though, we always walk everyday. I can drive but I chose not to, we can benefit more from walking than riding.
I am so glad that my children are used to it that you will never hear them complain about it. In fact, they enjoy it as we play in the snow on our way home. Last Thursday was fun because we were walking on top of the snow and every time our feet would go down, the crunchy sound of the icy snow was fun for them.
Good to see the children enjoy what they have. I always walked to school at their age and loved seeing and feeling the tastes of morning. The afternoon walk was refreshing after school. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of your children and the snow!
ReplyDeleteAn exercise for them and for you too. Better for them to have this system so that, they value their time and energy for the good of the family.
ReplyDeleteLove this pic (a long time ago I can remember doing this in England).
ReplyDeleteI hate the snow! lol my kids love it though! I have to admit, as much as I hate the cold, not really the snow, I also love the crunch sound when walking on it. :)
ReplyDeletei admire that children can bear the cold breeze, walking in the winter wonderland :)
ReplyDeleteIt must be difficult walking on snow to school as it's really cold.
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right, we don't need to drive as there are good benefits when you walk as long as the weather is good and not too cold that would be a great way to exercise.
ReplyDeleteI heard someone here said, when will phils experience snow? LOL.. glad school is just a walk away... the burritos are growing so fast.. hugs to them Rose :)
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos of your kids enjoying the snow.
ReplyDeleteoh, your kids are so adorable and cute, Rose. I am with you, walking is a good exercise, we benefit a lot from it, so if the school is just a walk away, why not walk? right?
ReplyDeleteI think its your training sis ! Not many kids now adays would like to walk. I always remember back in PI we walk 8 kilometers to go to school. You kids are amazing .! ganda ng bonet ng little girl mo.
ReplyDeleteWe also live near our son's school, just a stone's throw away, we can even see him from our balcony! Rain, shine and snow, even blizzards, we walk and just like you and your kids, my son loves to play in the snow as well! I also love the crunchy sound of the snow!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit of your little girl, so adorbs! I'm sure my daughter would love walking and playing in the snow too.
ReplyDeleteI was going to write I'm sure your kids love to walk in the snow, and there you are writing it down below your post. It's actually us adults who really won't trudge the ground when it snows (ako yun). I can go for days on end staying in, and not go out in this kind of weather. Panalo tayo this winter, puro snow hahah.
ReplyDeletelook at these two cuties...all bundled up! am sure other kids would complain...but these two seems like it's just a regular day for them.
ReplyDeletewalking is my favorite form of exercise! great job, kiddos! wish i could walk in the snow and play with you. :)
ReplyDeleteps.
the sight of your adorable and talented kids never fail to warm my heart, Rose. you are really doing a great job in raising them.
Your kids are so cute! Who wouldn't love to go walking around in the snow? I would love to walk outside on a snowy day again if I had another chance to do so.
ReplyDeleteKnow what? like my kids, I also enjoy walking in snow. I guess snow brings out the kids in us.
ReplyDeleteI just love the sweet smile of your kids enjoying walking! and yes indeed, it is better to walk than ride, a lot healthier for our hearts! I wish we were neighbors, am sure it would be awesome to walk along with you! :)
ReplyDeleteSis Rose,
ReplyDeletethat is very cool that you live close to your kids school. Looks like the kids do not mind the cold and walking is a great exercise for them :-)
Now that's a lot of snow on your end, sis! Hahaha! It definitely looks beautiful and walking on it sounds fun, but only for this month, please? LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat is also a nice bonding with the kids, Ate Rose! :)
