Trust, Faith, and Loyalty

Trust, Faith, and Loyalty...Ain't these three words rolled into one? In marriage, they say that love is the most important factor to make the relationship last. I agree in some sort but as the author of this meme said, the Love without the three ingredients will result to a chaotic relationship. Love will be clouded with so many doubts if you don't trust your spouse. You have to have faith and loyalty with each other to keep the love stronger.
When I was still in the Philippines and my husband was in Guam, a lot of colleagues were telling me not to trust a sailor like my husband because they say that in every port, they are playing around. I did not listen to them because I trust my husband and I have faith in him. I believed that he is loyal to our relationship and I am glad that all their speculations were wrong.
How about you, what is your take on this?

  1. You know what, I believe we women were gifted with a talent to sense if our better half is cheating on us; right? So don't mind the hearsays, just trust your instinct. And yes, don't forget to trust your man too :) God Bless.

  2. bakit nga ba ganoon ang impression sa sailors ano? mabuti na lang tokaya at nanaig ang love mo kay john. kung hindi e baka nagsisi ka. you're a wonderful couple.

  3. I think that is a good summary of how a marriage should be. You can love someone but if you don't trust him your love will drift away.Of course there also has to be loyalty and faith. Without them there can be no trust.

  4. I'm glad that you had faith in your husband. I come from a family of sailors and they are all good men, faithful to their wives.

  5. All it takes is to have love, trust, faith and loyalty, and you will have the kind of marriage you and John have. If you listened to those gossipers then you wouldn't be so happy right now. Aren't we all happy and lucky Mommy Rose? I know we are..

  6. In every port report in every post repost, mostly thats what others think of them but if we trust our husband enough nothing could go wrong. And I think your husband is too kind and head over heels in love with you to do that.

  7. It's a misconception that every sailor's wife need to overcome. Good thing you trust enough your hubby Ate, as you've said "deep in your heart you sensed that his a good man" and your expectations never failed you .

  8. Buti na lang di ka nakinig sa mga tsismosa, inggit lang yung mga yun....if you did, eh di di ka sana masaya ngayon....you are so blessed, Rose...you have great family.

  9. Yes, I believe that both you and John practice those three virtues- trust, faith and loyalty. It's great that you were able to prove that John was not the kind of sailor your concerned relatives and friends painted him to be. Practicing those three virtues and maintaining that undying love for one another will assure both of you a lifetime of blissful married life. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

  10. My uncle was a seafarer. Though he had many girlfriends before, he only wed one woman. Sadly, the marriage did not last for long because the wife left him for another man. :(

Anyway, December 9 ang due ko mare.

  13. Before marrying the person you love, you have already made a decision to Trust, Love and be Faithful to him/her.

Trust and Faithfulness may not be sufficient to overcome all the bad things that happens in a relationship but Love will overcome it all.

If you love your better half - trust and be faithful to him/her. And Loyalty is the result of this.

God bless you and your family.

  19. I think you said it very well. A marriage can falter with people who are in the same house, next to each other each night. Distance isn't the determinant.

    Cute picture on the swing.
