Fun at the Creek

Aside from the huge yard that John's Aunt has down hoopie, there's also a small creek near her house. We had so much fun running around chasing the kids and exploring the creek.
My hubby has told the kids many stories about playing in the same creek when he was a child. He was very fond of catching crayfish and salamanders.
He really enjoyed showing the kids the various types of wildlife living in and around the creek. I'm just glad we didn't see any black snakes, cottonmouths, or copperheads.
Rylie had a blast throwing rocks in the still water, a job usually held by EJ.

I grew up on a farm, so I experienced all of this stuff. For my kids, this is a fun and exciting learning adventure because they don't normally see these things at home.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. What wonderful fun for the kids. To bad all kids can't enjoy the wonders of nature along a creek. I grew up in the country and I made sure my daughter had plenty of nature experiences. Great group of photos!! Have a great day.

Thanks for the post and the photos. God bless you all always.
