This is how our two pets acted when they first met. Chelsea viciously attacked poor Champ but of course our little man didn't surrender, he stood his ground hehehe. I guess it's a way of establishing dominance for the dogs. I am no expert about animal so if you know better, you can share it here.
But anyhow, after a day or two, they love each other already. Chelsea was in heat when we brought her home so we put her on a leash so she wouldn't spread out her blood on the carpet. I guess the circumstances somehow taught Champ to be a man .. kind of lol.
I mentioned on my post last week that something had happened to Chelsea. My daughter tried to brought her out on her leash just so she can do her business but she took off and Champ followed her. I tried to trace where they went but I only found Champ. My husband went out and search the neighborhood but he didn't find her either. We though for sure that she was gone, after 5 days a good Samaritan brought her back. Thank you sir for taking time to find Chelsea's home!
Cute doggies, they seem to know when to play and when its time to leave each other alone.
ReplyDeleteSuch little cuties. I love watching animals play together.

ReplyDeleteThey are such a cutie. Glad they get along well now. Few years back, ganyan din ang nangyari sa isang aso namin. The gate was left open at that time and the other dog didn't want to miss the chance, and took off. After three days of searching, we just found her one morning in our front porch, safe and sound.
ReplyDeletegood to hear that Chelsea got home safe and sound after a few worrying days for you

ReplyDeleteVery cute dogs. I'm glad Chelsea was found and brought back to you. That must have been a very anxious five days!
ReplyDeleteVery cute dogs! And yes, they can attack each other to establish dominance, females particularly will do that. On another note, you should only take Chelsea out in a fenced yard when she is in heat, otherwise you'll end up with puppies if she gets away...
ReplyDeleteLucky there is still a good hearted person to bring chelsea home. Cute dogs, both of them were playful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me. I'lll follow u as wel. Have a great weekend.

Dogs and cats are highly territorial, it's ingrained in their systems. It took them two days to familiarize with each other because they saw that you (the persons living in the house) were treating both of them well. They are already accustomed of being pets. Normally they mark their territories by peeing on their perceived boundaries. The problem arises when there's an intruder in their territory. It's either they fight it off or treat them as friends if the intruder exudes friendliness. That Chelsea is in heat complicates the situation. She must not be taken off her leash for she will surely copulate with male dogs. Champ is still too young to do that to her. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
ReplyDeletecute ng mga pups nyo sis....:) a quick dalaw here before going to bed...mwah!
