Children's curiosity can lead to a scary accident. We bought our daughter a collection of beads on Valentine's day because she love making bracelets and necklaces out of it. While I was cleaning the dishes yesterday, my daughter was working on her bead jewelry. And hen a little bit later, she came to me and she kept sniffing. I asked her what's wrong and she said "nothing." So I continue with my chore, I felt that something was wrong with her because she continued to sniff like she has a cold. I asked her "Did you put something in your nose" and this time she started crying and told me "I stuck one of the beads in my nose and it's not coming out." Oh my God, I was so scared because the bead is a little big. I said "calm down" and I tried to tell her to blow it out but instead she was breathing it in. My son was taking a nap and I can't leave, so I called my husband so he could bring her to the hospital. She don't want to go because she was scared that the doctor will cut her nose open. Oh boy! Anyhow I convinced her to go finally. Do you see the bead on her palm? That's after they got out from the hospital. She showed it to me and said "I promise Mom, I won't stick anything on my nose ever again." I was happy because she learned her lesson. I am worried that the little bugger below will do the same so I put the beads up where they can't reach it.
Goodnight everyone, I'll visit you tomorrow! Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Hi sis! I can still feel your worries. I remember my childhood, I used to do that too, I also cut my hair and shaved my eyebrow when I was same age as your daughter.
Take care always sis!
Oh my goodness!! I don't know where to start makes me had a goosebumps already. Good thing you put it away for now because as you have said what about the little boy, if he says that his ate is busy doing something for sure his curiousty will light up too.
Sayo pala mana anak ko hahaha coz she cuts her hair too.. I hope she wont shave her eyebrows..
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if kulang pa yung post, you can buy a domain from blogger na, that's what I did with my ETC blog..
Children can scare you something awful. My son was six years old, I bought him a blow gun with plastic bullets to shoot out, you had to put it in the end and blow, he sucked in first and the bullet went down his throat, the end of story is he did not choke and passed it in his poo, thing is he did what your daughter did, he told me hours after he did it. Hope your family have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteOo nga Manang Kim, eto pa namang binata ko eh super adventurous and curious!
ReplyDeleteChild's curiosity can sometimes leads to accident such as this. I am glad she finally agreed to see the doctor and have it removed. What you did with the beads is best; little things like that should not be given to children 3 or 4 years under.
ReplyDeleteScary, isn't it Rose? :-), If I were you I would have panic already hehehe
ReplyDeleteglad nman at natanggal sana di gawin ni nikki yan naku minsan may nkikita akong jolen nasa bunganga nya my goodness kaso lahat ng maliliit nkikita kahit tinatago hehe.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that was one scary thing too Ms. Margaret... Thanks for sharing your experience!
ReplyDeleteOo nga ate, I was against the idea talaga of buying it but hubby don't want to see rylie get disappointed so he agreed..
ReplyDeletethe same thing happen in my neighbor too, its a bullet of a toy gun and it was really big, to the fact that her son was only two years old at that time, her mom really tried her best to take that out from his nose, good thing at night came when the boy was sleep when she tried to pressed the upper part of the nose, the bullet of the toy gun went out.
ReplyDeleteThis is not funny, but I laughed when I read this post, why? because I remember when I was a kid, maybe 5 years old, don't know exactly what age but before I start to go to school. My grandparents had plenty sacks of dried coffee and ready to sell.I don't know what came in my mind na pinasok ko yong isang malaking coffee seed.
ReplyDeleteAnd recently, my son, kala ko he got cold, and I pinched his nose tapos umaray hehe. Lokang nanay minassage ko naman softly. Hay naku bat my tigas sa kabilang ilong. So kinuha ko flashlight kasi it was night and we only had dimlight sa bedroom. When I checked his nose my puti sa loob. Buti nalang tissue paper.
In my work here, may nangyari na rin. pinasok yong isang small stone sa loob ng ilong, the boy is5 years old. Buti nalang yong kasamahan ko calm lang at hindi nataranta.nalabas rin without going to the doctor.
hahhaha....kakatuwa talaga ang mga bulilit ano...hehhehe..am scrared if that happens to Akesha...hhehhee!
ReplyDeleteI told Greg about it..and he said oh no..."did they teach her how to blow?" hehhe...hope she will not do that again...kakatakot kaya...:) glad she's fine
Thanks for sharing the story Anne, I really wanted to post this one just to create awareness to the parents out there..
ReplyDeleteHhaahah this post brought back the memories in you Ate Weng hehehe.. Ako wala akong ginawang ganyan hehehe..
ReplyDeleteBut my niece did the same too, she put one of the wild trees seed on her nose and her Mom tried to removed it until it get so deeper in her nose. We brought her to the hospita and even the doctor find it hard to remove it.
Ang mga bata talaga need to be supervised all the time, but sometimes its hard for us mommy to do it because we have a lot of chores to do inside the house..
Yup, I tried to teach her to blow it out but she was so scared already that she can't do it right. Thanks Manag Dhemz.. Watch out Akesha hehehe..
