Sacred Heart of Mary

Me, the kids, and Mrs. Fancher went to Sacred Heart of Mary last Friday. They had a garage sale inside the church.  (I find it weird having a garage sale inside the church as I believe selling stuff near God's home is  against the Bible, or maybe I just misinterpreted  what the Bible say).
Anyhow, the lady  who was managing the  sale  saw Mr. Burrito trying on the Junior Firefighter hat so she gave it to him for free.
Having fun with Lola Ruth.
Looking at stuff, asking  questions and all lol.
I only bought a couple of items.  I like this Benihana flower vase from Peru.  It was only  a buck.  It's perfect for my fresh roses.  A friend shared a link about an exact vase, they call it Vintage BENIHANA of TOKYO RED FLOWER SAFFLOWER VASE.
I got this unique picture frame for a a buck as well.
I am making myself as busy as I can  to fight  this feeling of  loneliness  without my kids at home.   I did not  imagine missing  my son's loud voice but I do!

Link  with me every Friday through ColoConnection.  You can post any color that you like.

  6. It would seem weird having a garage sale in side of a church instead of the parish hall.
I cried for weeks when my 20 year old son moved out last fall. Weeks. But, it is good for your kids to spend time away from mom-helps to prepare them for the time when they do strike it out on their own.

  9. Looks like you had fun at the sale. If I understand scripture it was the selling of animals for scarfice that angered Jesus. Rather than coming to worship and bringing their scarfices. Just my take on it. It does bother me if it is in the scantuary where I worship though. Blessings, Debbie

  15. The items you purchased turned out really nice when you personalized them.

And, you've got me wondering where the kiddos are . . . a house is empty w/o the voices of the home, isn't it?

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  17. I just love it when you post these cute pictures of your children. They always put a smile on my face. The Virgin brings back memories of all of my years in a Dominican girls boarding school. Lots of praying and "Yes, Sister." genie

  24. I have missed the sound of kids voices for many years now - mine have kids of their own! You will get used to it, but it will always seem empty! Love your finds - I would think the sale would be better in the parish hall, but then, who am I to say! Love your Benihana vase! That is a great find! And the kids are so cute - having fun!
