Rock, Weather , and Hearing Test

When Ms. Burrito came home yesterday, I asked her if she has any homework or assignment and she said none. Well, this morning when she was giving me a kiss and hug and getting ready to go, she remembered that she promised her science teacher that she will bring her rock collection to show to the class.  So I hurried up and gathered these rocks which I used as decorative stones for my bamboo plant.  I guess, I have to get used to surprises like this as  she goes lol.
The weather was warm so I took Mr. Burrito with me when I fetched Ms. Burrito after school.
The only thing of having these two together is that, they want to pick  every twigs of the trees they see  lol.
I let them play outside for some time after school because they miss being outside.   Even little hyper Champ was so happy playing with them.
Since all the snow has melted, the ground is wet and a little muddy.  When they came in, I did not inspect their shoes and they made a big mess in the carpet wahhh.
Another concern I have when she gets home is the hearing test that was undertaken  in their school today.  Her left ear did not pass the test so we have to make an appointment to an audiologist to do it.  I am worried   but I am praying that it wasn't serious.

I am glad though that schools here in the States perform these kinds of tests as they catch problems.  We don't have those kind of tests in the Philippines during our time, I am not sure  about now  though.

Freezing Cold

I really don't like going out when it's freezing cold. Aside from the fact that I am not use to this kind of weather, I also get cracked lips and fingers which is very painful. We went to the store last Saturday night and I was like a walking steel with a very heavy feet because they are so numb lol. I wore two pants actually and three layers of clothes lol. In this kind of weather you can't just go out without bundling up. You need thick clothes like North Face jackets so you won't freeze your butt off lol.
It's funny that my kids can bear this freezing cold weather but not me hahaha. Well, it's understandable because I was born in a tropical place where they were born in here. The photo above was taken at our front porch. Hubby shoveled the snow the other day and now it is fully covered again.

Cold Weather

I was born and raised in the tropical country so when I came here in the States, my most undesired season is winter. I don't like going out especially if its snowing. My husband and kids on the other hand love it! They can bear the cold and love to play in the snow. Here are some photos of our son playing in the snow with our dog Champ!

How's the weather at your end?

It's snowing again

Champ always woke me up at 5 o'clock in the morning. I have to get up or else he will pee inside our room so I took him out this morning. It's snowing again so I came back in to get my camera and took these photos.
Here's Champ sniffing the snow while peeing hehehe. This is a little darker but you can see the snow fall. Happy Holidays everyone.

Let it Snow

When I woke up yesterday, I was bummed out to see that it was snowing because we suppose to go out with the kids but we went anyway. I am glad that my father-in-law has two extra bedroom set for us to use while we are staying at his house. We will probably transfer to our house after Christmas time or when our household goods arrive, whichever is earlier. Meanwhile we are enjoying our stay here. My father -in-law misses the kids so much so he is very happy that we are staying in his house for a little while before we transfer to our house.

I took these photos at Dad's back porch. This was just the start of snow fall yesterday. We accumulated 2-3 inches thick of snow.

It got so cold last night that I had to turn on the extra heater at our room. Right now, our weather is 29 degrees. My kids and I went to our family friend's house last night and eat some Filipino foods. They did not stay very long though because they want to go home and play with the new addition to our family, CHAMP. I took this chinese lantern when we ate at a Chinese resto yesterday.

And this sign at the entrance door.

On our way home, I spotted this red roof in a drive-thru fast food chain.
Thanks for visiting.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

The wind was cool today when we went out to go to the mall indicating that summer time is almost over and Fall is coming. I also found this newly bloomed addition to our garden. I am not really sure of what kind of flower is this but it belong to the tulip family. It grows from bulb.
The color also symbolizes that Christmas spirit is in the air. Make me miss my family back home because Christmas in the Philippines is very different than here.

Winter's Warm Day

The weather was nice today so we went for a walk around the base. We stayed outside for about an hour, we played at the park and we ran around the fields. Our angels enjoyed throwing rocks down the hill. I just regret that I didn't bring the camera outside. But I am posting this picture of our daughter, taken before we went outside.Have a good night guys, thanks for visiting and commenting..

Hugis Puso (Heart Shaped)

My husband took this picture of the tree last year, with me as a back ground hahaha. The tree was at the back of my Father in law's house. it's neat how he trimmed it. It looks good during winter because of the snow.

Dash of Fall

These pictures were taken last year's fall in front of my father in law's house. My son is only 9 months old in this pic. These are just dashes of Fall that reminds us back home. Good thing we have a lot of photos.
My two precious angels enjoying the leaves!
Its always good to have a stock of photos to go through when you are feeling homesick! Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Blazin Hot

Whew, we survived the power outage today! The power got back at 4 pm but oh boy, I tell you that was sooooo terribly hot... I went to work at 11 am, I wasn't too happy about it because aside from not having electric in the work area, there's nothing to do either. I can't complain about it though because I get paid for doing nothing until the power resumed, besides I got to read my book lol.. It's just so dang hot in there, I'm glad it's over. Hubby said that they were sweating inside the house after they got back from the mall. So he just let the kids stay in the bathtub for an hour or so. I just wish that project like this (working on the power line) should be performed when the weather is a little bit cool not so blazin hot like today.
