Birthday Gifts for Our Little Man

I was looking at my children's   younger photos  through my old posts and it  it kind of make me sad a little bit.  I miss those  years when simple activities makes them so happy.  As they grow older, we find it a little challenging to find activities that they really do enjoy.  I wish I could  stop the time  so they would stay  young but I can't.  I am happy though of how they are becoming as individuals.
Our son turned 11 last month and I can't help but be sad and  happy at the same time.  He is definitely growing up .  With our two children,  our son is the most expressive when it comes to  how he feels towards us.  I know that our daughter loves us as much as our son loves us but she  kind of keeps  her feelings to herself.
Anyway, on his birthday, we took  both of them to Flight Trampoline Park.  We asked him what he wants for his birthday and this is what he wanted.  After our day of fun in Pennsylvania, we came home and  had some  pizza and  he opened his gifts.
He was very emotional after  opening his gifts and reading his sister's message to him  on the birthday card that she made  for him.  He gave each of us lots of hugs.  He is the sweetest kid I know.
You can tell  in his eyes that he cried, his siter was giggling when she saw him  crying lol.
I ordered him this  personalized mugs with a special dedication to his eleventh birthday.  Included in it are some chocolates.
He loved the  cars that we got  him.  He has a collection of cars but they are small, so he was very happy of these bigger ones.  I found them  online.  My plan was to buy eleven of them of  they cost too much lol.  I only bought the Lamborghini Veneno, McLaren P1, Yellow - Kinsmart 5393D - 1/36 Scale Diecast Model Toy Car, and the New style 1:32 Bugatti Veyron Alloy Diecast car model collection light and sound in red.  HIs sister also got him a  collectible car.
His Ate made him this card and he loved it.
Here's a video of him opening the gifts.

Pre-Schooler at Home

Our son is suppose to go to pre-school this year but he wasn't ready yet so we did not force him. I am teaching him at home instead.  Last week was our first week and he did good so far.
We only have two hours   of  session on weekdays, from 10-12.    I picked that time because that's when he is very attentive.
We only did  four days last week but this week will be a five-day week full of  fun for the two of us.
I am  happy that he is showing interest in leaqrning compared to  last year when I tried to  teach him.  He can write his name already.  There are letters that he finds it hard to write but  I am sure that in  time, he will get it.
I have a pre-school  book that I bought in  Walmart and I am slowly introducing it to him.
I am so proud of you Mr. Burrito.
I will be very busy  from now on because of my pre-schooler at home.
This is him when he is getting tired, he would say "Can I take a break please?" Lol!
With patience, he will learn the things that  he need to  learn before going to kindergarten next year.

Baking Pretend

The Burritos were in the mood for baking this morning so Ms. Burrito gathered all  her hair stuff and other colorful things.  Took the cupcake baking sheet and mixed their ingredients.  Baked it in her  kitchen and served it to us.  How wonderful it is to have  children, a gift from God that worth all the  treasures in the world.  Happy mother's day to all the Mommies!

Happiness and Health

The kids couldn't bear being trapped inside the house anymore so even if it was a little chilly last weekend, we brought them to one of the park they love to play and run around to. They had so much fun but my son ended up with a cold again, sigh.  Now he is not feeling well again.
I can't believe that  yesterday we had hail in the morning and a little bit of snow  in the afternoon.  Happiness and good health is hard to combine sometimes when the weather is so unpredictable.

Kicking Blanket Out

It's pretty cold during night time but most of the time, Mr. Burrito kicks his blanket out.  Before my husband and I goes to bed, we always check if they are covered and this is what we usually see.

Rock Star

Good morning everyone. My daughter's classes was canceled today due to bad weather. My bad that I did not check the website when I woke up. I woke up at 6, cooked breakfast and lunch for my daughter but then they came back as the school is close. I could have sleep a little longer today hahaha.

Anyhow, below are some photos that my son and I had  the other day.  I have been convincing him to have his hair cut but then he refuses to.  He said that he wants to be a rock star and rock star should have long hair.

So after I gave him a bath, I just  messed up his hair and he liked it.

So here you go folks, the rock star of my life lol.

Building Blocks and Gracie

We had Gracie for a day  a couple of weeks ago.  We were very very excited to have her over at our house especially EJ.
They play together with the building blocks that we have at home.
I left her in the living room  for  a couple of minutes because my burrito   had to go to the bathroom and I had to cleaned him up.  I guess Gracie stood up and fell on one of this blocks and she cried.  I felt so bad that she got hurt.   Gladly, it wasn't bad.
Look at her  puckered lips, so cute!  We love you Grace.

Snow Ball Fight

During the first day of snow  (Wednesday), my son begged me for us to go out and play.  He wanted to play snow ball fighting wahhh.  Champ and I got abused with snow balls lol.
I am not really into cold but what can you do, for the sake of your son's  happiness, you would be willing to freeze your butt lol.
The snow was not even deep but it was enough for us to  make a snow ball.
We made a big one but then he requested for smaller ones.  After I made them, he started throwing it at me wahhh.
We played until my  hands and feet are all numbed.  He didn't like to come in but then I told him that Daddy can take him out again when he got off from school.
Look at him, he thought that it is so much fun to slide in snow lol.
Well, burrito aren't you tired of being out?
Brrrr it is so cold till now.  We are below freezing so I am shaking lol.

Thanks for visiting friends.  This is a scheduled post so I might be  snoring already when you read this one lol.  Nope, I don't really snore hehehe.  Thanks for  leaving your thoughts.

Rainy Days

Good morning everyone, how's your day going?   I just got done vacuuming the floor and now running the washing machine.  My tummy is grumbling hehehe so I have to eat something.  I made  my daughter and husband  some hamburger helper for their lunch and  I am going to eat what's left.  EJ wanted waffles so that was what he ate.  Sharing this picture that I took of him last Saturday at my FIL's back porch.  Just to make the rainy day brighter hehehe.  Have a nice day everyone!

Button on the Nose

Some of you might remember when I posted the incident about my daughter inserting a bead inside her nose. I totally freaked out when Rylie stuck a bead in her nose because that time my husband was at work and that was the first that I ever encounter such a thing.

Our son did the same thing. I think he found a button on the floor and insert it in his nose. Last Thursday night, he kept digging his nose and telling us that there is a big boogger there. I cleaned it with q-tip but he wasn't satisfied and said that it's still there. I looked but did not see anything. The next day, he was doing it again and this time I really let him lie down so I could take a good look at his nose. He told me this time that he stuck a button there, I was like "Oh no, not again"

I used a tweezer because the button was way down there. I couldn't get it since the tweezer is too big for his nose. Hubby instructed our son to blow his nose and thank God, he knows how to do it unlike Rylie who freaked out and couldn't do it. It came out a little bit and I was able to pull it out. Thanks EJ, you saved us from going to the hospital. I wonder why kids like to do these things. Does your kids do this stuff too?
