Dog's Territory

These two cuddle up in their chair every time I say "Chair".
Our Jack Russel Terrier, Champ is very shy in front of the camera but Bolt is always ready to pose.

Pets & Kids

Our pets got used to having the kids 24/7 so when they started school, they missed them. As soon as they come to the door, they go hyper so the kids bond with them before doing their homework.
This chair is the official chair of Champ.  When you tell him "Go to your chair" he would jump right in.
Champ would pace back and fourth when someone sits in his chair.
Bolt only  stay in the chair when he is grounded but in this case, for photo opp lol.
One more day to enjoy the weekend without waking up early.  How y'all doing?

Our Garden and Pets

Having pets is wonderful but sometimes they can be a pain especially when they're still pups.  Bolt and  Maximus has been busy  laying down on the veggie and flower garden.  Si I was forced to put some board to block them from getting into the veggie garden.
I can tolerate this  flower beds to get ruined because they already  bloomed but the veggies, I had to do something.  These irises are on the other side of our yard.
On the other side, the kids planted some corn, beans, and  tomatoes.  I told my kids a story about  planting corn  when I was growing up and they really want to experience that too.  So I bought a pack of corn seeds and let them plant it.  They are now big.  The photos were taken a couple of weeks ago.
Having a decent size yard is nice especially if you have kids and pets.  Not to mention that you can grow your own vegetables during  warm days.
The grass in our yard is looking brown because of the heatwaves that we have been getting. I feel bad for those WVnians at the bottom of the Northern Panhandle who got hit by the storm. I hope that they would get their electric back and goes back to normal again.

Dandelion Treats

Our two bunnies (Wubzy and Matilda), love to eat dandelions.  Since  there are so many in our neighborhood, my  kids and I always picked some when we go for a walk or coming home from school.
These two  gets so excited whenever  they see these flowers. It is like a sweet treats to them.
If Ms. Burrito is serious in picking flowers, the other one is  seriously   spreading out the dandelions wahhh.  He would always "Make a wish!"
I read an article about dandelions or the Traxacum Officinale  and  found out that as pesky as it is these weeds to some people,  the herbalists consider it as a valuable  herb in treating some health condition like liver problems, skin problems, heartburn and more.  It said on the article that Dandelions are rich in Vitamins A, B complex, C, and D and minerals such as Potassium, zinc, and iron.  It is interesting to note that dandelions can be used as an added flavor to  salads, sandwiches and tea.  The roots are used in some coffee substitutes and the flowers  are used to make wines.

Playful Visit

We visited my BIL Dave last Thursday to see how he is doing. Thank you everyone for your prayers, he is now recovering well. He can now walk around. A nurse from Trinity goes to their house everyday to check on his open stomach. Yes, they left open to make sure that the infection is treated well. I think when they see that it's free from infection already, they will sew it back.

He has a visitor when we arrived so we went to the back first and play with Jack since we brought Champ  with us.  I spotted some interesting shadows.
While my daughter was swinging,Jack decided to join her.
Then Champ jumped  in too lol.
I had fun watching  Ms. Burrito and the doggies.

Fun at the Backyard

We spent the rest of the day playing at our backyard today after we drove my FIL home from the cemetery.
The Burritos  had so much fun playing with their sandbox.

Mr. Burrito  spent time playing with Champ.
Wonder what hubby is doing at the background?  He was busy nailing the wasps and hornets that  were bothering us lol.  We couldn't spray the  thing to kill them because the kids wanted to play.

Here's  Champ eating his treat, a turkey leg..  It might sound scary to you but I assure you that our dog chews it very well before swallowing it.

Dog Crate for kids and dog?

Our order from CSN arrived last Tuesday. It is a dog crate for our dog Champ. After assembling it, we tried to let Champ in but he was so scared so the kids help him out. They went in first and then they invited him in. After a couple of days, he can now get in there without any problem.
This dog crate costs over $55 dollars with free shipping.  It's nice to get something that you earn from blogging.  I made a review from CSN store and they give me a promo code to use  in their store.  Thanks CSN for the opportunity!
