Choke Hold

Seeing the news about the guy  who died  because of the choke hold that the police have applied when he   resisted arrest scares me.  I have a lot of respect for the police because  they put their lives on the line  to protect  the people they serve.  Sometimes, accident like this happen.  I think that if the guy  have listened and did not resist the arrest, he could have still alive.  The police on the other hand,   should have listened when the guy was saying that he couldn't breath.

On the lighter note, let me share these random photos that I took  when we were at Oxcean City  a couple of weeks ago.
It's amazing  to see people are swimming already as early as 7  o'clock down there.

Just a few snapshots that reminds me of Korea.

Rainbow

There's always  a first time for everything right?  With my 7 years of living here in the States,  the very first time  I saw a rainbow was  last month when we were driving home from Kennywood.  My husband saw it in the rear view mirror so the only  way I could take a picture of it is through the back window of our car.
"Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray."
-Lord Byron-
Not a perfect shot but at least I got to capture it and I got to see  a rainbow for the first time in 7 years lol.

Rosary Beads

Praying the rosary is often practiced by Catholics. I remember my college days, I lived in a dorm that is owned by the school. I am one of the student assistants who was assigned at the quarter where the Priest administrators lives. Fr. Mike, an SVD Priest, President of Divine Word College of Legazpi back then, would say the rosary with us (me and other three SA's) every weekend.  I actually miss saying the rosary, I hope that I would be able to do  it again with my kids.

But anyhow, the four of us here at home has it's own rosary beads.  These were all given to us by friends.

Hippo Charm

The hippo might look feisty but the birds are seemingly not scared of him.  Hippo definitely  has a charm for the birds.  Pictures were taken at the Animal Kingdom in Disney World.

Stained Glass

The photos below were taken last Sunday at Church. We went earlier so I got the chance to take some shots of the stained glass while there's not much people there yet.
There were also other Fil-Am kids there so I took p a couple of shots of them  after the mass was over.
Wishing you a productive week ahead.

Family is what Matters Most

Just random photos taken by my Sony point and shoot camera.
She picked these flowers from our garden, wraped it in a paper and gave it to me.  Thanks sweetie!
Life is beautiful  with a family whom you love so much and loves you back.
Hubby and these two are my inspiration everyday.  Even if you feel like the world is against you, having them can erase all the worries and stress.  I thank Him for giving me this beautiful gift.
"Whenever you share your goodness,
your passion for life and your heart,
you always end up WINNING
because what you give to others
will come back to you.
- an inspiring  thought taken from the Nuggets of Wisdom book -

Clear Shot

I finally got to use my  new DSLR camera.  I  am still learning   some of it's feature and with the busy schedule that  I have, I can't really sit  and read the manual lol.  Anyhow, before my husband  decided to get the  one in the photo, he browsed so many slr cameras online first to see which store gives us the best deal for it.  We actually save a big amount in buying it online because we found a  promo code for it.
Below is one of the  first few pictures that I took.  I can take  pictures closely now without worrying about being blurry when you zoom in.  Here's a clear shot of the  wild flower that I saw at Tomlinson Run a couple of days ago.  I zoomed it in to the max and still produces a clear shot.  Love it!

Squirting Play Doh is Fun

These photos were taken by our good friend Tom during Ms. Burrito's birthday last year. Our neighbor came to the party and gave a play dph set for Ms. Burrito and she loves it till now.  Look how her face lighted up with that ear to ear smile, it's so contagious that even Mommy smiled big too.
I just love Tom's camera,it can capture every moment without delay.

Photo with Easter Bunny

Our last trip today was to the Treasure Island Flea Market.  We tried to find a female bunny  for Wubzy's playmate but we did not  have a luck.  We found a booth  with Easter Bunny in costume so we through of trying it.  I was disappointed that the photographer has no skill in taking good picture.  She did not even  encourage the kids to smile or anything, she just  clicked the camera and that was it.  When it got developed, it wasn't good at all.   I thought that it was a waste of money, phew.
How about you folks, how's your weekend so far?  above is a souvenir  display at a cultural heritage show, it's a nipa hot inside a bottle that is made in the Philippines..

Red Berries

These small berries adds delight to  someone's eyes  when  all the plants from the garden are dead.  They shine so bright and  alive especially on the presence of snow.
Unfortunately, this berries  does not eliminate my migraine headaches.  I have this excruciating  migraine headache since this morning  and it just won't leave me alone.  I do however  some task to finish so I am trying to blog  wahhh.
