A Doze of D

When Mr. Burrito got a doze of diarrhea, we ended up bringing him to the doctor after a couple of days.  While waiting for the doctor, we don't have anything to do  but play with the camera just to pass the time.
It turned out to be  a disappointment because the doctor did not do anything, she told us that it will eventually stop.  So our   one hour was wasted there.  Oh well, it is still good to ask the opinion of the professional right?

Mr. Burrito learned a big lesson  about this  experience, he is now very  cautious in touching stuff.  He washes his hands frequently now and does not  put things in his mouth.  It's funny that every time he passes gas, he would ask "Is it a Diarrhea Mom?"

Pneumonia, Ear Infection, and Flu

Hello everyone! We had a rough day today (3-7-11). We didn't have a good night sleep last night because Mr. Burrito kept us up. He was pretty sick then Ms. Burrito woke up crying because she was fevered. I was so worried (still am) about them. We did not let Ms. Burrito go to school today and decided to bring them to the doctor once again (for the third time).
Mr. Burrito threw up a couple of times this morning so it really triggered my  nervousness.
HIGH  fever is dangerous when left uncured.  They both  got up to  105.3 which is pretty HIGH!  This is my  entry to ABC Wednesday for letter H.
We brought them at the doctor this afternoon.  I felt so bad with Mr. Burrito because he was in agony.  They were given  a dose of motrin right away and let them eat some pedialyte freeze pops to reduce their fevers.
The doctor   performed an xray this time and swabbed them both for flu.  We will know the result for flu tomorrow but I am praying and hoping that they don't have it.  Based from the xray, Ms. Burrito is developing a Pneumonia while Mr. Burrito's xray result  turned out fine.  He does however have an ear infection..  Oh boy, I just wish that they could have done the tests since last  visit so that the Pneumonia could have been predicted.

Instead of amoxycillin, the doctor   prescribed  a much stronger  antibiotic for Mr. Burrito which is the Cefdinir.  For Ms. Burrito's Pneumonia, she has to take  azithromycin.  Ms. Burrito feels better when we came home, I hope that she won't have any fever anymore tomorrow.  Mr. Burrito on the other hand still has a fever.  All of the three are now in bed since hubby was so tired  with no sleep last night.  I am so tired too but I have  some tasks to write so am trying to stay  awake.
Thanks to all who keep our burritos in their prayer, please continue to say a prayer for them.  Thank you all so much for your concerns, well wishes, and visits.

My Men are Sick and another teaching session for my daughter

Hello everyone, howdy? My daughter and I just finished our lesson for today. We focused on her counting and familiarized herself with each number. She knows how to count but if you ask her a certain number with two digits, she find it hard to identify them. She learned a lot today but we still have to go with it over and over again to master it.
Sometimes I forgot that I am teaching a 5 year old and I am being so hard on her. I salute all the teachers who patiently teaches children, it takes a lot of passion to be a good teacher. I don't think I could do it as a profession as I don't have much patience.
On the other note, I mentioned yesterday that both hubby and son are sick. I wasn't able to sleep good last night because my son was pretty much affected with his cold. After eating breakfast today, they both went back to bed and when they woke up, they both feel a little better.
These shots were taken yesterday when we visited my father-in-law. Every time these three are sitting together, I always took pictures of them so that when my son grow up, he would see how close the three of them were.
Thank you all so much once again for always dropping by and for leaving your valuable comments.

Rylie is Sick

When my little burrito woke up yesterday, she was complaining that she has a sore throat so we gave her some medicine. It was the last day of her Bible Study yesterday so even if she wasn't feeling well, she still attended. When we fetched her at noontime, she's so down and sick.
Here's my little kitten with the paint mask on. Little brother tried to comfort Ate Rye by wiping the wet rug on her face and clean out the paint.
I couldn't pass the opportunity not to take photos of the scenario yesterday because it was very sweet of EJ to take care of her sister.
After he clean her face out, he gave her a sweet kiss.
This is why I wasn't able to blog today. I also had a dental appointment this morning then we dropped by at my FIL so Rye could stay with Pap while we buy some groceries in the store. She was fevered up to 104.6 a while ago and Daddy wanted to bring her to the hospital but I said that I will wipe her some wet cloth again and see if it helps. He also gave her some meds. After an hour, she was feeling okay and played with us outside. Hopefully, she'll be okay when she wakes up tomorrow. I have a migraine so I am now off to bed, thanks for visiting guys.

Clogged Nose

When my daughter and I walked going to the library the other night, we brought an umbrella because it was sprinkling a little bit. The next day, she was sneezing and got a cold already. Now my son has it, he has a clogged nose and can't sleep well. We gave him a medicine although he refused to take it (he got that from me coz I don't like taking meds too lol). Oh boy, the cold season is starting again.

"Heart Attack"

After we ate breakfast today, my husband decided to check out our mail at the post office with our kids while I was busy filing our papers. When they came back, he decided to wash the car and drove the kids to the car wash inside the base. After that, when he came home he said "Please get the kids at the car hon, I think I am having a heart attack!" He was walking like he was gonna fall. I froze, "should I get the kids or assist my husband?" But it was so hot outside so I ran out to the car and get our kids. When we came back inside the house, he was talking to the doctor and he did not look too good. He went to the hospital inside the base to meet the doctor. I am scared to death in here waiting for him. I called after 30 minutes or so, no answer, I called again after an hour, still no answer. So I decided to go in the hospital and check on him but he wasn't there. Can you imagine how terrified I am? My knees are shaking and my heart is thumping so hard. When I came back home, the doctor left me a message, so I called back. He said that my husband is in Samsung Hospital (out of town hospital). He said that my husband is still in a lot of pain but a little bit better. He will be having a CT scan and find out what is happening to him. I am asking your sincere prayer, please help me pray for my husband... I won't be able to take this if something happen to him. Lord, I know that You are there always when we need You! Please don't let anything bad happen to my husband. Not him please?! I trust in you Lord!

We brought EJ to the Hospital

When we came back from the Philippines, my husband and  kids got diarrhea. I think it was from the mango shake that they had in legazpi the day prior to our flight. My daughter was okay now and so my husband but our son is taking it a little bit hard. He is fevered since last night so we brought him to the hospital this morning. He is still fevered until now but did not go (diarr..) so far. That's the reason why, I haven't been able to visit you guys, I apologize. Thank you for your continuous visits.
What I like about our children when they get sick is that they try their very best to stay active even if they don't feel good.
Here's our Princess who is celebrating her 4th birthday today. Happy birthday Rye!

Thank YOU so Much!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who visited yesterday. I wasn't able to visit any one's blog yesterday because I was so busy. Thank you also for those who included me in their prayers because it made me well. As soon as we woke up yesterday, we got ready to go to the hospital. I was asked to give a urine sample and the doctor examine my back and lower stomach, he tapped it and asked me if it hurts but it doesn't. So he gave me a septra antibiotic to take for five days. They didn't call me about the urine test so I am hoping that there's nothing serious about my health. While I was being examined my sweethearts played at the play area of the hospital.
Thank you once again guys!

How Can Healthy teeth Help You live Longer

What age did you start introducing your child for a tooth care? We started using the gum cleanser when our children was 2-3 months old just so they would get use to it. Now some kids does not want to brush their teeth for a lot of reason. Some are scared because the tooth brush aren't soft, they are afraid that they might get hurt. If this is the case try to add a lil' fun, buy them battery operated toothbrush. My kids loves it when their toothbrush are spinning inside their mouth hehehe...
As a kid, brushing your teeth may have seemed like a hassle, but as an adult, you should be aware of how important healthy teeth and gums really are. First of all, many of the foods that help your body build strong muscles and bones also build strong teeth and healthy gums. Dairy products, breads and cereals, fruits and vegetables, and lean meats all contribute to healthy teeth and a healthy body. In addition, good oral health may help you manage the following conditions—or better yet, prevent them altogether. source: qualityhealth.com

food that smiles

Hubby usually cooks breakfast for us during weekends. But today, I woke up early so I can cook some food before I start cleaning the house and later on go to work. I cooked some longanisa (Philippine sausage), eggs, rice and fruits for dessert. Yumyumyum!
It's very important to start the day with a good breakfast, it will give us more energy to do our tasks for the day.. Hope, you guys have a good one!
