Tooth Fairy

This is one reason why I asked my daughter to stop blogging for a while hehehe. I have stuff to blog that I don't want her to read lol.  Anyhow, when she lost her  first tooth, she left a note under the pillow.  So when we sneaked in her room to get the tooth, we found it.
She  wrote and asked the tooth fairy how she look like.  My husband did the sketch lol.   Ms. Burrito was  very happy to see how the tooth fairy looked like.
Thanks for visiting!

Joke Time

"A man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man."
-The Godfather-

Joke is one spice that keeps our family merry and joyful.  These two jolly men  were having a joyous moment of their lives.  I am glad  hubby has a good sense of humor.  He makes us laugh all the time.  Above is just one of our joke time where everyone has teary eyes because of laughing.

God's Marvelous Gift

Life is not always a bed of roses
In my experience, it is full of surprises
You'll win some and you'll lose some.
Be prepared, be strong, and be resilient
Because when test strikes, it hurts like a spike.

People can be wicked at times
Exercise forgiveness and don't hold a Grudge
Because even in Grandeur times
You will experience Grief and disbelief
Hold on and have a tight Grip on your faith
Life GOES on and we must move on.

Exercise love not hate
Be Grateful for all the grace you receive
Express your Gratitude and appreciation
We only have one life to live
We must enjoy GOD's marvelous gift!

Rose C.

"Somewhere along the course of life
You'l learn about yourself and realize
that there should never be regrets
But a lifelong appreciation of the  choices you made.

-Nuggets of Wisdom-

First Grader

We went to our daughter's school last Thursday and registered her in the First grade class.  Time FLIES!  We also paid the tuition Fees upon registration.  It's expensive to send your kids to private school but I like it because the   population is small so teachers, students, and parents knows each other.
My daughter's teacher wanted to  take a picture of  Ms. Burrito's face but she smiled when our daughter  posed lol.
She also included our son for the picture taking.
The artworks on the photo below were made by Ms. Burrito's class when they were in Kindergarten.
Ms. Burrito and Mrs. Gain's FIRST FOTO together.
Today was the First day of  school at St. Joe's.  I thought that I'd be okay when we sent  our daughter but when I came home, I felt nauseous once again just like the feeling I had when we first sent her to kindergarten class.  I wonder when I will get over this separation anxiety lol.

Darling Friends

Despite some issues that I have been dealing with silently, I still have so many things to thank for. A Darling friend of mine from bloglandia sent me a sun Dress all the way from the Philippines.  I was surprised as it wasn't my birthday but I  received a present so thank you very much!
Before I could try on the Dress,  my Dearest Daughter  tried  it on already hahaha.

XRAY

This is the XRAY result that I have had before I took off from my country to US. I had this done at St. Luke's Medical Center when I was 7 months old pregnant with my daughter. They just wrapped a protective cloth around my tummy to have the XRAY done.
Anyhow, I brought this  in hand when I flew because they said that I would be needing it at my port of entry.  Well, I arrived here without the XRAY being opened lol.  I just had it open  last night for my entry to ABC.
Going out the country is a painful process.  There are astringent requirements that you have to submit and yet  a lot of  people do it because the country itself is not financially sufficient to provide  jobs for the people.  In my case, I came here for family reasons and not job seeking.  But still I underwent a thorough process before I  finally got the OK sign, whew.

Wrinkled Knuckles

I seldom paint my nails but for mother's day sake, I painted both my nails and my daughter's. It was a special little bonding  between me and my little lady,..
Ms. Burrito said "We should do this more often Mom."  LOL!
My wrinkled knuckles is my contribution to ABC's W.  I grew up planting rice in the field with my bare hands and my hands was so rough because of calluses before.  Glad the calluses went away but not the ones in my feet, very unattractive .. sigh.

The Day I Turned...

Water is  very vital to our existence, hence to our everyday lives.  On the day I turned 38, the water supply in our area disappeared.  What a day to celebrate your birthday isn't it?
Nevertheless, it was fun as I was surrounded by loving people, my family and my in-laws.
My husband volunteered to cook  which I was very happy.  Our plan was to just cook at home and invite my FIL but we ended up going to his house because we did not have water.
So the day I turned 38 was very memorable.  Thanks everyone for the greetings!

Unwinding

My sister in law, Chris, built this swing for Ms. Burrito when she was a baby.
It has a stand but I decided to put it on our back porch since it was just sitting in our basement unused.
Now it is their favorite thing to unwind when they get tired of running around the backyard and just want to breath fresh air.
Mr. Burrito said, it's very relaxing to just swing while  drinking his milk hehehe.
I removed all the junk that has piled up in our porch so we could use the space for relaxation.
Put a little bit of accent in it too.  We  are planning to  find a  small set of table and chair  or a coffee table set that we can sit in when  having a siesta  or coffee break.
Now that  warm days is in full force, our back porch is a nice place to UNWIND  when we are at home.

Time is Precious

Time is precious, it goes fast so we should never waste a moment without telling our loved ones how special they are to us because when they go unexpectedly, at least they know that we love them.
Time flies, look at my precious Ms. Burrito, it's like it's just yesterday that she is trying to sit by herself.
Look at her now, she is trying to be me, she's blogging  at the age of  5 (almost 6) and she is wearing my shoes!  Geez lol.
I wonder if my mother  ever noticed that I was growing fast back then?  She seemed to be  occupied all the time taking care of nine kids, whew!  I wonder how she's done it but she did, that's why I love her dearly, Luvya Ma!

Sand Boxes

We have two sandboxes at our backyard. The turtle (green) one was given by my SIL and the boat (blue/gray) was given by our neighbor.  We have to buy  another bag of sand to put on the other one so they can use it.
Sand boxes are fancy but nothing can beat the joy I had when I was a kid where sand in the beach is endless. I grew up in a coastal area in the Philippines so I  had lots of fun  playing in the sand  during my childhood.  That's what my kids remembered and missing of our place, the fun time they had when we first brought them there.

Speaking about  my place, I talked to my mother last week when she picked up the money I sent her.

Red Dress

Hello there everyone, I am chubskulit in bloglandia. When I was in elementary, our principal used to call me ROSALIE.  Then when I was in high school, my science teacher used to call me ROSALIND. When I went  to college and graduate school, everyone calls me ROSE.  Anyhow, enough of my  name history hehehe.

Can you blame me if I love roses?  The necklace with a rose pendant was given to me by my husband while the rose pin was given to me by my father-in-law.
I love color RED, and this RED dRess caught my attention when we went to the mall.  Too bad, there's no size that would fit me because I am way "TINY" as most people addresses me lol.  Sometimes, in order for me to buy clothes that would fit, I go to teens section wahhhh.
Hope you guys are having a blast!

QUEST

On my QUEST of finding a good item to share in ABC Wednesday, I found this photo that I took at Lowe's.
The child statue seems to have a lot of QUESTIONS in mind of how the water will run up through the hole.

NOW my QUESTION is, what do you think is the best caption for the photo?  Speak your mind..

Paintings

I took some shots of these beautiful paintings at a Chinese Resto last weekend.
Which piece do you like, do you have a favorite among the four?

Splash of Orange

Both daughter and husband were off from school yesterday so we went to Starvaggi Park to lessen up the stress we have about Dave's surgery.  The splash of Orange colors in the park gave us  hope about the family's ordeal.
I realized yesterday how time flies and how life  is short sometimes for some people.  So it is always great to enjoy every  bit of it.
Last year, my daughter  wasn't able to use this orange skort because it was way too big for her but yesterday I realized that she is growing up fast!  Soon she would be bigger than me.
I have tasks to write yesterday but I  set it aside and went to the park instead.  Family is what we should always prioritize.
Today, my daughter came home from school with a certificate from her teacher.  She won their spelling  exercise and she is very proud about it, WE are too! I am so proud of her progress in school, she knows how to read very well now, can add and subtract,  and she is also getting so good with spelling.  I can still remember when I was still teaching her how to write her name, read the alphabet, and do some math problem.  We did not enroll her in pre-school so my husband and were basically her reading and   writing tutors.
I am so glad and thankful that I got to be her first teacher.  Being a stay-at-home-mom is a blessing and I am very thankful about it.  I also would like to thank all of you who include my brother-in-law in your prayers.  His surgery went well but he is still in a lot of pain and under observation in the hospital.  In behalf of the  Cottrill clan, thank you all so much!
