Korean Musical Instrument

These photos were taken when we were still in Korea.  We  used to go to the park near  the ocean and one fine afternoon, there were  displays  for some  kind of  a presentation out there.

Their traditional music instruments.

I don't know what they call those instruments but there is a kind of music instrument  called zither that I read online.  According to crosswordsolver.org, ZITHER is a musical instrument with string stretch over a flat sounding box, it is laid flat and played  with a plectrum and with fingers.  Below is an image I borrowed from britannica.com of a Korean lady  playing Zither.

Father's Day!

It's a great celebration to thank our Fathers for everything that they have done for us, CHEERS! I'm just a little sad that my father isn't around anymore, but thanks a lot Papa and I love YOU! We hope that you are happy with where you are now.

 

We celebrated the occasion by going to church first and then after the mass we proceeded to Turtle Cove and enjoyed the festive meal. We decided to go driving around and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Korea. Then we came back home, the kids surprised their Dad with their present - a TEA Maker. My husband loves iced tea so it's a perfect gift for him since we did not bring his tea maker when we came here. We spent the rest of the day playing outside. It was simple but quite a memory to treasure with.

My Burrito turned 5

Our little darling princess turned 5 yesterday and she is growing so fast. The memory is still vivid to my mind, I feel like I just had her last year and now she's 5. One thing that I am thankful for is that I got to see every milestones of my two children. I thank my husband for letting me stay at home and be with our kids 24/7.

When we were in Korea, I work part time for 6 months I think and hubby was the one taking care of the kids. I only work during weekend whenever hubby is off, I also did some weeknights but it's only 4 hours long. It was an interesting experience and I definitely learned a lot especially on dealing with not-so-nice boss.

Working in Korea made me miss my super nice boss back in the Philippines. But anyhow, hubby did a pretty good job taking care of the kids while I was working. He make sure that they are entertained and well -fed. The only thing I have to take care of when I go home is the mess around the house lol.

The only time that I experience going out with friends was when I was in Korea. My husband was in-charge that night and he really did well. The kids did not like it all though lol. This is my short entry to Couple's Corner. I know, it is late already but better late than never right?

Remembering Korea

The following photos below were taken during our last few weeks in Korea. The first photo was taken at the entrance of Home Plus from the roof top parking area.

This was taken inside the Navy Store inside the ROK Navy base. Every month, they have one aisle full of sales item like birthday cards, shoes, baby clothes but most of the time, candies and snacks. Isn't it neat how they decorate even their sale stuff? That's how ornate Koreans are especially on gardening.

I love the way these bottles look. These were displayed on top of the cakes shelf. I am not sure if these are fruit juices or fruit wines but whatever they are, they look tasty lol.

This was on the first floor of Home Plus. I really like these small planters, aren't they cute?

Last Church Attendance

I took these photos after we got out from our last church attendance at the church inside the base in Chinhae, South Korea. Now that we are settled back home, I am so happy but at the same time I am missing the place. I'm just glad that we have a lot of photos to look back into.

Missing the Lake

Now that we're back, I came to realize that Korea was a very big part of our family bonding especially the lake on the photo. We used to go there every weekend because it is very relaxing to walk around there and watch the wild birds and other critters. I also miss the beautiful flowers and friendly Koreans greetings us as we walk around. Pardon for my nostalgia ramblings lol.

Yellow and Red Trees

I took this one on our way to Daegu, the whole street of Masan is full of golden colored trees. Isn't this beautiful?

This one is inside the base. My husband and I took these photos when the weather was still good and the trees are in its full color.

Gone with the Wind

We had a brown out today from 9 am to 6 pm so we decided to go to Busan International Market with my student Amy. I took a lot of pictures but unfortunately my camera got sick and threw up, she was in comatose for a while so we had to reformat her.. I lost every picture I had in there wahhhhhhhh.. I need a new one.. I am so annoyed that my camera let me down today heiiizzzz, the memories that I captured was gone...SIGH....

But anyhow, aside from my camera's dilemma, we had fun. My kids enjoyed feeding the pigeons at the park, we enjoyed taking pictures (which was lost grrrrr) and we shop till our wallet dropped lol... Today's adventure ended at the Chinese resto where we devoured tastylicious foodie (just imagine friends that I posted several pics)... God bless everyone!

Pixel bug weekend

Happy Monday everyone. This is the second week of the Pixel Bug Weekend and here is my entry. Our daughter asked us if we could go to the City7 Mall so we went there last Saturday. Yesterday, we just stayed home after attending the Sunday mass.

It's funny to think that kids nowadays is already imposing or expressing what they want or where they want to go.

On the road to Changwon

We are going to Changwon today. Our daughter asked us if we could go to the City Seven Mall, so that is what we're going to do. We need to enjoy the remaining warm weather here so see you later alligators!

Mini Boats

Thanks God, my husband is off tomorrow because of the Labor Day. We are going to participate on a family walk marathon inside the base. I heard they are going to give some freebies for the participants. It is so good when my husband is given a day-off because we have lots of family bonding time. Just like last Monday, they were given a day off because the exercise was just finished. So we went to our favorite hide out hehehe. Our burritos were in the mood for riding the mini boats. The fee is 3,000 won for each and you can ride for as long as you want. Here I am walking towards my little man because he got tired of cranking the wheel of the mini boat..

So he got out after 15 minutes or so but Rylie kept going.

We decided to hang out in this boating area when our princess decided to finally stop with her sailing adventures.

The cashier was very kind because she let us ride the motorized mini boat without a fee.. yipeeee, kamsa hamndia!

So we put on our life jacket..

But EJ ran away, he did not like the idea of putting it on.. Me and Rylie had so much fun but EJ was freaking out because he wanted to ride with us too. So I took him even without a life jacket.
