Father's Day 2019

My husband  started a new position at Industrial Scientific this year so he had to go on a week training and classes.  The scheduled event was on the week of Father's Day so he had to leave on Father's Day.  Since we knew he was leaving, we have pre-celebrated  this special day a week ahead.  We took him out to eat at our favorite Greek restaurant.
My kids are blessed to have such a wonderful Dad.  He always  make it a priority to attend to their need no matter how hard it is.  Sometimes, I think that he spoils our kids but he always justifies it as giving the opportunities that he didn't had as a kid.
We attended  mass and then headed to Theo Yianni's after.  Not sure why but the three of us  were color-coordinated that day ha ha.   I would say though that red looks really good on pictures.

Father's Day 2014

On Father's Day this year, we started our day with a hearty meal that I prepared for my  husband.  We planned on spending the day to the Zoo so we got up early and got ready.
A simple family photo before we took off.  My son is always  making faces, it frustrates me sometimes because we can't get a good family family  picture most of the times.  Anyway, before we head out to the zoo, we visited my father-in-law first.  We got him a  new flag and a new razor for gifts.
He was very happy to see both because he   needed a new flag as his old one is all shredded up.  The last time we put a new flag  on his flag pole  was years ago, when my brother's in law was still alive.
I love it when I see these two so  loving with each other because nowadays, they love to pester each other lol.
My FIL is a very patriotic man so even if his  eye sight is  slowly deteriorating, he is very proud to fly a flag in his front yard.
I love this photo  when my daughter gave Dad a hug!

And the last shot, a family photo.
I will be posting our  Father's Day adventure at the zoo real soon!

Dad's Special Day

This is the second part of our Father's Day celebration. We spent some quality time with my husband at home in the morning and then we spent the rest of the day at Dad's!  We devoured some pork baby back ribs, egg noodles, green beans, and cream  of corn.
We always thank God that  HE continuously bless our Dad with good health.  The only thing that  bugs  Dad once in a  while is his shingles, my husband  would  put a local anesthetic called Xylocaine or lidocaine on his skin whenever he is in pain.  He is  turning 90 years old in  few more months and   we are so happy that we get to enjoy his company everyday.  Our children are still  young so I want  them  to have more  photos with their Pap.

Link  with me every Friday through Color Connection.  You can post any color that you like.

Father's Day!

This was Originally posted on June 15, 2008 - S. Korea

It's a great celebration to thank our Fathers for everything that they have done for us, CHEERS! I'm just a little sad that my father isn't around anymore, but thanks a lot Papa and I love YOU! We hope that you are happy with where you are now.

We celebrated the occasion by going to church first and then after the mass we proceeded to Turtle Cove and enjoyed the festive meal. We decided to go driving around and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Korea. Then we came back home, the kids surprised their Dad with their present - a TEA Maker. My husband loves iced tea so it's a perfect gift for him since we did not bring his tea maker when we came here. We spent the rest of the day playing outside. It was simple but quite a memory to treasure with.

Happy Father's day to all the Great Dads in the World!

Happy Father's Day Dads!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in the world!
We just came home and it's a perfect time too because it is now raining.  We attended mass at noon then went to  my FIL's home and cooked dinner.

After we ate and bonded with Dad, we took my husband to the mall for a little shopping spree as  our Father's Day gift.  He did not find  the one that he wanted which is   a pair of  new running shoes but we bought him a pair of Levi's  pants and four.  We will find him a  shoes next time.
How about you folks, did you have a good Father's Day celebration?

That's my Dad!

Our Dad is awesome, he is willing to teach us everything including bugs , ants, worms and other little creature you can see in the ground.
He is a loving husband and Dad! Sometimes he want to be a kid too, making silly gestures like this. He is thankful that God gave him a daughter and a son. Even when he is busy with his renovation at our basement, he is still willing to play and pose for a pic with us. For us, he is the best Sailor ever! He makes us happy with his goofy faces like this.. Our dad wants to be a jack of all trade so he knows a lot of stuff like remodeling, renovating, or whatever you call it. I am so happy that he always let me help him do chores like shoveling snow in our driveway. Sometimes, we want to think that Dad want to be a scientist because he like to do experiment like this one. Yup, for me Daddy is the honorable sailor of the Universe! See, he loves us and he always plays with us. He is wiling to be a bull just to give us satisfaction and happiness. Our dad is loving, caring, funny, witty, supportive, understanding, and crazy (in a good way). So Dad, even if you have the most stinkiest fart in the whole world, we love you because you are our only DAD! Happy Father's Day!
