Anticipating

On the second day of water outage, the pipes started to have a gargling sound like water will start pouring down so all of us stared at our faucet, anticipating for the water to come out. But we did not get lucky, the gargling sound disappear after 30 minutes.
We ended up going to Follansbee, nearby city, to take our showers at my NIL.  Thanks a lot Jen and Jim!
After  taking showers, we let the kids bond with Gracie and other kids for a while before we headed back home.
THe little one was so excited in showing Ms. Burrito her toys.
Rubberized lizard toy under their chins.
Oh it's the worst feeling you'll have when you lost water. It's bad when there's a flood but it's also but when there's nothing, even a drop.

QUEST

On my QUEST of finding a good item to share in ABC Wednesday, I found this photo that I took at Lowe's.
The child statue seems to have a lot of QUESTIONS in mind of how the water will run up through the hole.

NOW my QUESTION is, what do you think is the best caption for the photo?  Speak your mind..

Fish Pond

We've played with  my SIL's  big dog for a while at her backyard when we visited her  last weekend.  I got to take some cool photos.  My burritos were looking for the fish on the fish pond above.  I am not sure if they hibernate or they died.

More Fish

Here's some more of the shots I took when we went to our kids' doctor last weekend.
Please include my little boy in your prayers friends, he  isn't getting any better.  Thank you!

Crystallized

Due to the freezing that we are having since last night, the twigs of the trees are beautiful to look at to.
It's crystallized!  However, I don't like this freezing rain because  I walk to school on MWF so that means that  the  sidewalk will be icy wahhh.
I don't want  anyone to see me bump my behind on the ground if I fall lol.
Oh well, that is part of  life so  all I can do is to face it.  Have a good day everyone.

C is for crystallized twigs so I am linking this to  ABC Wednesday.  Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Baptism

As I have mentioned on my previous  post, we attended our friend's daughter's baptism yesterday.   We woke up early because the baptism ceremony is at 10 am and I promised Manay that I would make a pan of lasagna.
My men were in suits.  EJ  wore the  suit that her Ninang Agnes gave him as Christmas  gift last year.
We stayed at Manay's house  for hours.  One of the Filipinas who came brought her  Videoke mic so we sing and sing till they get tired of hearing us hahaha.
Sophie did not cry when Fr. Dean  poured that water in her forehead.
Below were taken in front of the church when we were leaving.  Hubby snapped  some shots  with me and the kids.
We  went home after the ceremony to get the food and change our  clothes.  Family picture first before  taking off our clothes.  It seldom that my men wear their suit so I  asked them that we should have a pic weee.
Thanks for commenting and for your visits everyone.  I owe you a lot already, I just don't have enough time to bloghop these days..

Sea Horses

When you first get in at the PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh Zoo, you will be entertained with the collection of sea horses. It amazes me how their features naturally blends in with the rocks and sea weeds.

Take a look at this one. If you are not attentive enough, you would think that it is just one of the sea weeds.

I remember when I was a kid, my father would take home a sea horse if he finds one in the ocean and put it in a jar for us to see. Then we would let it go afterwards. Some people there collect and dried them for decoration.

Shark

Would you freeze if you are swimming in the ocean and you see one of this going towards you?  I think the  fear would  drown me instantly lol.  Good thing, this  giant baby was in the aquarium when I saw him hehehe.  How about you?

Seals

Another batch of animal pictures that I took during our recent visit to Pittsburgh Zoo. Presenting the seals this time.
It's fun to watch them  swim and jump in and out of the water.
We have a rainy day today and I am hoping that it will stop raining when it's time for me to pick up my daughter in school.
Have a nice day everyone!

Changwon

My son still misses Korea and hopes that we'll go back there. It makes me miss Korea more. But anyhow, I am sharing this photo that I took last year when we drove3 for the last time going to Daegu. Taken at the Changwon bridge.

Have a nice day everyone!

Looking down at Japan Sea

I took these photos before we land to Narita Airport during our flight coming back here from Korea. It's beautiful to look down the sea when you are flying but at the same time a bit scary.

The white ones in this photo are boats. My poor camera can only zoom that big (or small lol) though.

photography and music

One of the many interests that both my husband and I shared is music and photography. When I finally migrated to the States, I brought some of my favorite music CD collections. Hubby said that there are Free Sound Effects that we could find online. In fact, we bought several music videos that we love to listen to especially when travelling in the car.

Taking pictures is one of our favorite hobby. When he went to Pusan on July 15 (2008) to take a tour of the USS Ronald Reagan, he took several photos that I like. These were taken from the flightdeck of the USS Ronald Reagan, an awesome aircraft carrier in the U.S. Fleet.
The concrete used in this display onboard the USS Ronald Reagan was a piece actually removed from the Berlin Wall.....pretty cool. I am glad that I get to see some of the beautiful places of Korea. I will sure miss the place. I just wish that I could have met my husband earlier hehehe. He did not take any pictures of the places that he's been on his former assignments.
