Goodwill or God's Will?

When our daughter had to dressed like a saint, we chose St. Agnes for her.  Part of her costume is carrying a lamb on her arm so we tried every store in the area and we couldn't find one.  Two days before the event, I fell asleep at my FIL's couch and  hubby said "Are you ready to go?"  I replied "Okay, let's go to Goodwill."  My husband was puzzled with my reply but we went anyway.  And there we found a stuffed toy lamb, thanks God!
That was the first time we went to Goodwill.  As I walked around  and explore the store, I found this pretty blue vase.  I inspected it for any chips or damage but I found none, I looked at the price and it says $3, I said "Sweet."
I kept thinking, maybe it's God's will that we did not find any lamb in the store except in Goodwill because not only we found the lamb but also found the vase.  Sorry Lord, I didn't mean to associate You with material things.  I am just happy that we  find some good stuff for cheap unexpectedly lol.

Elephant Ears

I am not really sure of the name of this plant here in the US but in the Philippines, we call this Gabi or Taro.  I heard somebody call this elephant ears plant over here. Over  in my country, we ate this as vegetable but over here, they plant is as ornamental.  The shape of it's leaves looks like a heart.  I bought this at the oriental store for me to cook but then I forgot and it grew so I planted it.  I brought it inside the house so it won't die from cold outside.

MeerKat

I used to watch the documentary videos on TV about the Meerkats.  I am fascinated about their intellect and instinct for survival.  When we went to Pittsburgh Zoo, I  saw some of them and they were so cute.

It comes in all Shapes

Happiness to children comes in all shapes and sizes. It could be just a teeny weeny thing and yet it makes them crack up.  I don't believe in giving everything to a child will make them happy.  Even though you fill their room with expensive toys,  they won't be totally happy because they still need our TLC.  TLC comes in  different  measures too, some give  a lot and some just a little.
You can  see the happiness of the children in their eyes, their smiles and the way they interact with people.  They are real because they don't   lie when it comes to expressing how they feel.  So let's give our children a lotta love everyday, they will remember it for the rest of their lives.  It might not matter to you but spending a lot of time with them  matters  and   bring a huge impact to their development.

Grinny

Dad has a squirrel pet that comes and visit him everyday in his front porch.  He bought a big bag of peanut and  has been feeding him since.  He calls him Grinny because he is always grinning lol.. Mr. Grinny is spoiled already because he does not want to eat other nuts but peanut.
