Triple the Charm

I am a Guest Friend over at Today's Flower this week and I am delighted.  Special thanks to Luiz for inviting me.  Below is the first bloom in my garden.
I took photo of this one when my daughter and I went for a walk.  I dunno what kind of flower this is.
And this lovely orchid is from Lowe's.  The two that I bought last December  are still alive  and I am waiting when it will bloom.
I call this post triple the charm because those three are all charming.

Paper Roses

I posted some photos of this flower at my other blog and I named her Powder Puff because I don't know the name. Three commenters identified it as three layered poppies. Maybe this belong to poppy family because the way the  bud hang down, it resembles  how the poppy looks like when it's getting ready to pop the flower.
Whenever I see the full bloom of this, it reminds me of the song Paper Roses because it looks like a crepe paper made  flowers hehehe.
Thanks for visiting!

Dianthus

The dianthuses which I grew last year from the seeds I have collected from previous years just bloom this year.  Sorry my photos doesn't  do the justice to the beauty of the flowers lol.
I just transferred all of them at the back.  I am starting to remove my flowers in front of the house before the construction of our front porch starts at the end of this month.  I just got done and I am beat wahhh.

Hey everyone, please be invited to a new meme that will start tomorrow (Saturday) hosted by Ms. Burrito over at her blog.  The meme is called Color Connection which basically  posting any color of your choice.  Please click the badge below for more info.  Thank you~!

Gardening with Mr. Burrito

We got so lucky to have had two days of warm weather last week. Me and my son took the opportunity and prepped our vegetable garden. My hands got blisters because I used the heave maddock in digging out the dirt hehehe.
I decided to remove the grass adjacent to the fence so I could plant some veggies  in it instead of just plain grass.  I used the grass to  fill in some of the low parts of our yard.
My son was busy picking up all the earthworms he could find and give it to the birds.
I love it that we have a fence now because I can wear anything and not worry about  the neighbors looking at me lol.
My yellow tree (not sure the name of this plant) has bloomed already.
I took shots of these pretty blooms when we went at my SIL's home the other day.
These hyacinth are blooming  beautifully at Dad's front yard.
My Spring flowers did not bloom this year.
Have a  blessed Sunday everyone!

Sign of Spring

We have a cool day today unlike yesterday which was hot. I am glad the kids got to enjoy the warm weather yesterday. I walk around our backyard to see if my plants are coming back to life, these two are some of the signs of Spring.
Champ got exhausted playing with me yesterday.
Can't wait to see my rose bloom again.  Maybe I will get to see it's full bloom since  our former dog, Chelsea, isn't here anymore (she used to eat my flowers in the garden hehehe).
Above is one of the dianthus I had last year  I hope that they'll come back again this year.

Syclamen

I feel a little bit better from the excruciating pain of migraine that I had last valentine's day when my husband came home with two pots of beautiful cyclamen.
I was planning to make them live as long as they can but it looks like they are dying.  Maybe I watered them so much or I dunno.  This is my first time having this one  and there is no instruction for care so I have no idea.  Oh well, what matters most is  that it made me feel better  during the special day.

Mums

The school where our daughter goes has a project of selling sarris chocolates. Our goal is to have at least over a hundred dollars of order. We visited SIL and she ordered some. I saw this mums in front of our house. It's in full bloom. I have maroons but she have like a combination of yellow and orange.
The last two shots were taken in different time interval.  Light really is a vital factor to have a beautiful photo.  Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

Moon Flower

My FIL calls this Moon Flower. He has a lot of this around the pine tree at the backyard. The flowers are humongous, what interesting is that, the blooms does not last through out the day It's only in the morning where you see they are open wide.
Here's some different shots for you.
She is pretty isn't it?
Thanks for dropping by folks. Have a great Sunday! Linking this to Today's Flower.

I am Pooped!

Oh lord, I am beat and pooped. I was in the mood to do some gardening this morning so as soon as I woke up, I went out in the yard and started doing it. My Father-in-Law, gave me this gerbera daisy for my birthday (Thanks Dad).

There are three inside the planter so I decided to segregage each of them and planted it in three separate planter pots.

But anyhow, I did not stop until almost twelve then we went to Lowe's and got me some mulch, dropped by at Dad's and came back to continue what I was doing. I helped hubby mow the grass and then I started again with my gardening. I wasn't able to spread out my mulch as I finish planting my creeping phlox.

These are the miniature roses that Dad gave to me a couple of weeks ago. He knows my weakness lol. Thanks again Dad.

I am now off to bed dear friends as I am very tired (it's 12:01 now). I just forced myself to post this one. Goodnight and thanks for coming by.
