Nature Lovers

Originally posted on July 5, 2008 - S. Korea

My daughter love everything that she sees around the environment. Animals, flowers, grass, trees, birds and even insects. After we joined the parade for the 4th of July celebration, she saw these toadstools in our neighbors yard and she got so interested that she fired me a lot of questions about it. So when we went home I searched online and explained it to her.

Both hubby and I love nature and I am gad that both of our kids are nature lovers as well.  The photo below was taken during our last trip in Osan, South Korea.  I miss being in the Land of the Morning Calm.

Beauty in Old Dead Tree

Do you find any beauty in an old dead tree? Look closely and you will see a critter in there. She is enjoying her lovely time, feeling the cool breeze of the wind. You may enlarge the photo by clicking it.

The reigning beauties

Just want to post these natural beauties that we captured during one of our family walks in the neighborhood. This is a vibrant petonia, love all its colors.
See the eyes of this flower?
The 100-days flower..
I love this wild blue colored flower with a shade of yellow and white. I don't know what kind of plant is this but the bees really love it.
One of the big toadstool we've found at the backyard. Our kids said that we can put it in pizza hahaha, they thought its an edible mushroom.
Have a great weekend everyone!

The Eyes

I took a couple of photos of the tree's eyes when we were out walking in the neighborhood the other day. It amazes me how trees shows their age. You might think that I am weird but sometimes I just have this interest to ordinary things that most people don't notice.
I called them the eyes of the tree! It look like eyes of the crocs too..

Natural Beauty

These are some of the beautiful trees with flowers that I adore here in Korea. They're very colorful and beautiful to look at. The Cherry Blossoms looks like cotton or snow wrapped up in the trees. Its so relaxing to drive around seeing those beautiful flowers around.

Cherry Blossom Festival

It's a perfect timing when we came back here because it was time for the Cherry Blossom Festival this year. We went driving around the other day and took some pictures because today will be the last day of the Festival. Some of the trees are not in full bloom yet so we still have a time to enjoy the scenery. Right now, it is still cold here so we prefer to drive than walk. There are some local activities like art displays, concerts of korean artists and other stuff in town. Here are some snapshots for you.
I'll post some more pics later, have a nice day everyone.
