Father's Day 2014

On Father's Day this year, we started our day with a hearty meal that I prepared for my  husband.  We planned on spending the day to the Zoo so we got up early and got ready.
A simple family photo before we took off.  My son is always  making faces, it frustrates me sometimes because we can't get a good family family  picture most of the times.  Anyway, before we head out to the zoo, we visited my father-in-law first.  We got him a  new flag and a new razor for gifts.
He was very happy to see both because he   needed a new flag as his old one is all shredded up.  The last time we put a new flag  on his flag pole  was years ago, when my brother's in law was still alive.
I love it when I see these two so  loving with each other because nowadays, they love to pester each other lol.
My FIL is a very patriotic man so even if his  eye sight is  slowly deteriorating, he is very proud to fly a flag in his front yard.
I love this photo  when my daughter gave Dad a hug!
My husband   with Dad.
And the last shot, a family photo.
I will be posting our  Father's Day adventure at the zoo real soon!

Moms Make Children Blossom

My sweet Rylie a.k.a Ms. Burrito came home yesterday with a surprise.  She made me a special Mother's day card in school.  The back of the card has a folded  paper with drawing that says "Moms  make children blossom".  Isn't that the sweetest thing?
This is what it look like in front.
I love it Anak, thank you for making Mommy's day very special!  You and your brother are my  everything!

After the Mass on Christmas Eve

We were not able to attend the get together at my FIL's home on Christmas Eve because of the  mass but we visited him later that night.  The kids were delighted for the gifts that were waiting for them at Dad's.
Thanks  Titas for the  gifts!  My NIL Jen  gave the kids this Nok Hockey set and Ms. Burrito seemed addicted to it already.  Thanks Chris, Gail, Jen and Jim, Lee's family, Michelle, and Dad for the  gifts!

Inn Keeper

Me and the kids dressed up our  entertainment center with some garland, lights, painted pine cones with bow, and some blings in the middle.  The stars are the prize I won in a giveaway and the navy necklace are  our remembrance of our  stay in Korea.
I decided to put lights around the kids' decor in our hallway.  We left  the air vent unblocked for the heat to flow freely.
Ms. Burrito is part of the Christmas play  at her  school.  It will be held this Thursday.  Her role is an Inn Keeper  so we bought her a  costume.  Here she is posing for me  wearing her costume.
Have a good week ahead everyone.

Elvis Presley, Regal Princess, and Cat Woman

Here's Elvis Presley errr EJ wearing the costume that was made two years ago by Chris, my very creative and talented sister-in-law.
He finally grew to fit in this costume. He wore this one during the trick or treating this year.
Posing with lovely Tita Chris.
The pumpkin bags were also made by my SIL a couple of years ago.
The Cat woman, the Regal Princess, and Elvis Presley  all geared up for trick or treating at Marland Heights.  Do they qualify for a quirky characters?

Holiday Decorating

For the last couple of days, I spent my time decorating our humble abode for the holiday.  The kids helped me decorating our newly bought Christmas tree.  Please disregard the big bow on the tree, it doesn't belong there lol..
The kids love the new tree as it has a rotator motor that you can plug in. You can see it in the video below.

While my daughter and I were busy decorating the tree, my son  was also busy doing his own thing lol.  He was playing with his holiday train given  by his Aunt Chris, thanks Tita.
How about you guys,  are you done decorating?
