Easter 2018

"Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth." -  Menachem Begin
This is long overdue.  These photos were taken almost three months ago.  My slowpoke pace of  posting about  stuff is terrible.  The flow of ideas doesn't really come easy sometimes, no matter how I try.  I end up staring at the computer screen and then leave because  this  tiny nugget of a brain of mine  does not work!  However, when I get lucky, I can post  like 5 articles in a day but that is very seldom.  I can remember when I was just starting to blog, I am always excited  to write   different things everyday to the point that I  would ran out of things to write.  These days however, I have so many pending stuff to write but my  brain does not cooperate.
Anyway, our Easter celebration was awesome.  We just went to church and attended  a mass then came home and eat.   Ever since my FIL went to a home and then passed away, our  holidays are spent  just the four of  us at home.  I miss the family gathering  when my FIL was still alive and we  are all on the same page and got along so well.  We still get invited to  family gatherings, it's just that it feels so different without my husband's Dad so most of the times we chose not to go. I wish that my side of the  family is near, I'd probably have my Mom over everyday or I'll visit her often.  It sucks to be so far away.
For Father's day's celebration, we visited my brother-in-law whom we haven't seen since my FIL's funeral.  It was  so nice catching up with him and his wife.  They live quite far from us but it was worth the drive.
"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored." - Earl Nightingale

Easter 2015

The students of Madonna High School has once again sponsored  an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids on April 4th at the Rectory  backyard.  We came ion 3 minutes late  from the  scheduled start so they were not able to participate.  Some of the Moms and kids gave them some candies though.
We did not  stay very long there so we  visited my  father-in-law.  I did  some cleaning  while my kids bond with Dad.  He told us that his younger sister is coming from Ohio so  I straightened his  house a little bit.  My sister in law does  most of the  house keeping at Dad ever since he got some sort of dementia.
Then we came home and  colored some eggs.  The kids always look forward to this activity at home during Easter.  If you want to save more for Easter  projects and other upcoming holidays, you can get some coupons to use online. It is always good to find coupons before going on a shopping trip because it an really save you big bucks.
The "Easter Bunny" left each of them an Easter  basket filled with goodies on Sunday.
After I fried the lumpia we went and  celebrated with the whole family.
My brother-in-law Rick, and sister-in-law Crystal watching the kids  look for eggs in the yard.
Here's Aunt Peg, they came down from Ohio to celebrate Easter with us.
Gracie showing her prize to be claimed.  My SIL and NIL prepared so many eggs  with candies, prizes, and money.
Aunt Peg, Uncle Wes, and Dad.
The kids had a lot of fun mingling and playing with the other kids.
I can tell that Dad was very happy having all the people he love gathered together on this  special occasion.
I thank God for giving us the opportunity to be with the whole family.  It is always nice to catch with what everybody  is up to.  Because of busy schedules, we rarely see each other even though we live close.  Dad is our main magnet to be together.  Even though Dad think it would be his last for every occasion, I feel like  God continues to  bless him more time with us because he is doing  a purpose for all of us.  I will be looking forward for the  next coming Easters with Dad still with us.

Volunteer Teacher

The Burritos did not expect any treats from the Easter Bunny this year but the "Easter Bunny" left them something at our storage area.  Daddy told the kids to look for it in the house but they couldn't find any so he suggested for them to look in the basement, garage, and storage.  Here's Mr. Burrito finding the Easter baskets   in their bikes.
Ms. Burrito had  an 11 days off from school during Easter  holiday so he volunteered to teach his brother. She is stricter than me so Mr. Burrito complained sometimes about it.
It is so nice to hear when the two  are working together but it is challenging when  their  ideas clashed and does not conform with each other.  Oh boy, my Burritos are NOT babies anymore.  In fact, Mr. Burrito objects when I call him my "Baby" lol.

Let me end this post by sharing you this quote by the novelist, Vladimir Navokov.
"Discussion in class, which means letting twenty young blockheads
and two cocky neurotics discuss something that
neither their teacher nor they know."

Easter Morn

When my husband went to Daegu last week, he bought an easter basket for our little ones. He also bought some other stuff that we added in the basket. After several days of hiding it at his work, he brought it home on Saturday Night so we could surprise the kids on Sunday morning. When our angels woke up, they were very happy to see that the "Easter Bunny" have left them some Easter baskets.
Here's EJ and Rylie with bed heads hehehe.. Rylie exclaimed "Wow, how did the Easter Bunny knows what I Like!" Then after we ate our breakfast, we got ready to go to church and attend the mass. Before we left, we took some pictures of ourselves lol.. And we can't take pictures without Rylie sharing her talentt, so here is her shot of me, Dad and EJ. Happy Monday everyone. Thanks for visiting and commenting!

Easter adventure

We had a lot of fun yesterday at the Turtle Cove where they held the Easter activities for the base. We had a free brunch sponsored by the church at TC with the band playing while we're eating. Hubby posted the first part of this post hehehe. Here's the natural beauty of the venue.

I had my exercise climbing though this inflatable slide. I burnt my right elbow because of the friction of this hot material but it was fun and I burned some calories hehehe.

Here's hubby and kids with the Male Easter Bunny. Here's EJ waiting for the egg hunt to start. He wasn't able to participate though because he left and played at the Sea of balls (again.. And again....) Here's Rylie anticipating for the egg hunt. Here's the fun part, everytime someone grab the egg that she wants to get, she'll look at me like "help me, Mom" lol.. But the parents were not allowed to help. Here's what's she gathered, not much hahha.. Some of the eggs has gift certificate but we are not fortunate to find it.After the egg huning, Rylie got to decorate some cookies and ate it afterwards. With Tito Noel Gravina. Yummmmmmmm! With Ms. Theresa...One of the inflatable bunnies that she redeemed from one of the easter eggs she've found in the field. How about you friends, how did you celebrate the Easter Sunday?
