A Summer Job They BOth Love

These past summer, one of our neighbor hire the kids to take care of their dog whenever they're at work.  The kids were very happy because  they find something to do  during their school break.  I   was so glad too because  at a young age, my kids are starting to appreciate having a "job" and earning from it.  So you see, just because  they work for it, they learn to value their money.
I mean, I have no issue with my daughter in saving money but my son is a spender.  This  "job" however , changed his perception about  spending.  He learned that, it feels better to  work and "earn" from it.  He saved all his "summer job" pay in his wallet and hasn't  spend it yet.  He said that he will continue to save his money so that when he is old enough to drive, he has some saved up already to buy his own car.  I think, in his mind, buying a car is like buying a box of donutt lol.  But it's okay, at least he is  setting a goal for him to work on.
I love that our neighbors dogs are so gentle.  They are big dogs but really gentle with kids.
We had a great summer and these dogs are part of it.  Dog sitters is a summer job they both love.
Our children are still young but hubby and I  are  planting seed in their young mind that  it is very important to be active.  We told them the importance of  work and working hard to achieve  goals.

Reading Books in the Backyard

Aside from the thunderstorm that we had a couple of days ago, the weather has been very warm. Instead of doing our readings inside the house, me and Mr. Burrito laid blanket at our backyard and did our lessons there. It's more relaxing and enjoyable.
I did not know that Mr. Burrito is digging for "gold" when hubby took the photos lol.
I would like to introduce to you our new fur baby Bolt.  He is a  mixed lab and miniature Pinscher.  Our neighbor has six litters and  they were giving  them away and they gave us one.

Labradors

Our neighbor has two labs, they are very gentle when they play to the kids.
What I like about them is the fact that they don't offer to run away.
The owner can just  let them  sit beside  her while she is gardening
I told my husband that we  if we ever get an addition, we should get  either a labrador or a retriever because they are very good with kids.
Here's Ms. Burrito with the chocolate and black labs.

Peonies & Chelsea

Our female Pomeranian dog, Chelsea, love to eat flowers. She eats every dandelion that she could find in our yard. When my flowers in the garden started to bloom, she started eating it too. Here's my peonies when it's just starting to bloom.

Yesterday, we were all outside and we let the the dogs loose, Chelsea tore up three big peonies and started eating it, so I put her on a leash before she could eat all my pretty blooms.
I think that the peonies are sweet because ants love them and our little missy here has a sweet tooth too.

You can see on the fourth shot how she tore up three stems just to get the flowers.
I love the blooms of peonies because they smell good and they're gorgeous!

I have white and pink of them. which do you think is prettier. I love the red shade on the white one but I love the color pink too.

Having a pet is like having children, it's an continuous expense added to your monthly budget. But the joy that they bring to you or family is worth the price. Here are some joyful moments with our pets.

Our daughter love to cuddle Champ and she like dressing up Chelsea.

Pets are a form of therapy to adults too.
Have a great week everyone!
