Mini Boats

Thanks God, my husband is off tomorrow because of the Labor Day. We are going to participate on a family walk marathon inside the base. I heard they are going to give some freebies for the participants. It is so good when my husband is given a day-off because we have lots of family bonding time. Just like last Monday, they were given a day off because the exercise was just finished. So we went to our favorite hide out hehehe. Our burritos were in the mood for riding the mini boats. The fee is 3,000 won for each and you can ride for as long as you want. Here I am walking towards my little man because he got tired of cranking the wheel of the mini boat..
Hubster was busy taking pictures..
I am glad that they put a tarp already.
Our little man is almost asleep hehehe..
So he got out after 15 minutes or so but Rylie kept going.
We decided to hang out in this boating area when our princess decided to finally stop with her sailing adventures.
A view on the other side..
The cashier was very kind because she let us ride the motorized mini boat without a fee.. yipeeee, kamsa hamndia!
My ever loving hubster...
So we put on our life jacket..
But EJ ran away, he did not like the idea of putting it on.. Me and Rylie had so much fun but EJ was freaking out because he wanted to ride with us too. So I took him even without a life jacket.
Here's a short clip of vid that hubby recorded..

Confession

I have confession to make! After so many Sundays that we did not go to church, we finally made it today. Our daughter asked us if we can go this time. I know, Bad ME! After my brother died, I skipped going to church but I thanked God for reminding me of my faith through my daughter. The theme for today's service is the Healing Activity of our Lord. This helped me out to rekindle my faith and relationship to HIM. To fully explained the theme, I copied the context through the leaflet that I took from church.
A healthy person, who seldom or never needs a physician, finds difficulty in understanding the anguish, frustration, and never-to-be fulfilled desires of the physically handicapped. In primitive societies and prescientific times, the condition of the handicapped is even worse than it is today. There were no rehabilitation programs for them, no wheelchairs or any equipment that gave them at least some relief. Since religious belief regarded their mesiry as related to sin and moral
guilt, they were often outcast for whom nobody cared.
We find it although natural, therefore, that the writers of the Bible used the wrenched situation of the lame, the blind , and the deaf, the epileptics, and the lepers (all of whom they believed to be in the power of the demons) as a figure to describe humankind's alination from Godand the healing of these people as a signof God's powerful and caring presence. Ethically speaking, we could be like some of those handicapped. Pray that the Lord may open your ears to listen to his message. "Ephphta!' - that is, Be Opened!"

Egg Omelet

This is good especially for the kids because it is loaded with Vit. C from tomato. The ingredients are green bell pepper, smoked sausage, tomatoes, a dash of salt and pepper and you can also put onion in it. I usually sauteed this filling but this time I just mixed it in a bowl and put it in the microwave for a minute. It is better that way, the veggies stay crisp.
You can put mozzarella cheese on top of the egg, it helps in holding the two sides together when you fold the egg with the filling in it.
Here's the finish product. My son does not like veggies but he eats it when it is in the egg.

Another tip of making your kids eat veggies is by putting them in a fried rice. EJ love fried rice and when I make it, I make sure that it has lots of veggies in it (green peas, corn, bell pepper, and carrots)

Costume Galore!

The theme for this week's Mommy Moment meme is Dress Up Day where kids are in costume or wearing a formal clothes. The photos on my entry took place in chronological order of events since 2005.

This was Rylie's very first Halloween (2005). She was only 4 months old here. This costume was made by my sister in-law Chris.

This was taken in April 2006, Rylie's first Easter celebration. Again the bunny costume was made by Chris.

Rylie was nine months old in this photo.

She is doing her exercise folks lol..

The next two photos were taken in November 2006, Rylie's second Halloween celebration.. This time she know how to do trick or treating.

I gotta have a picture with my daughter of course. I was 7 months old pregnant with EJ on this photo.

The next set of photos were taken in November 2007. EJ's first Halloween.

Just trying the wigs lo.

Chris also made those costumes.
Rylie's first halloween costume was still in her closet so we let EJ try it on too.

These are from last year's Halloween here in Korea. These are the only costumes we were able to find here. Korea does not celebrate Halloween so finding a costume was a pain.

With Eula's son.

Practicing her trick hehehe..

Our little Indian boy was not happy for his costume. He did not wear it at all lol.

For this year's Halloween, my sister in law is planning to make an Elvis Presley costume for EJ and a princess for Rylie. Let us see. Oh well folks, there you have it, my burritos costume parade. Thanks for your valuable comments.

The Eyes

I took a couple of photos of the tree's eyes when we were out walking in the neighborhood the other day. It amazes me how trees shows their age. You might think that I am weird but sometimes I just have this interest to ordinary things that most people don't notice.
I called them the eyes of the tree! It look like eyes of the crocs too..
