Our last glance

This is the picture of us taken when we left my hometown Donsol. My mother and my youngest sister Mae were very lonely. This is our last ride in the boat. It is very hard to leave when you visit your family because you feel like you don't wanna leave anymore.. Sigh... sigh...sigh...Good night everyone. I'll be visiting you tomorrow. Gotta go to bed because hubby has an online class tonight.. Thanks for the visit and comments..

they follow...

Life in the place where I grew up is very simple, it is an hour ride from the town proper of Donsol. We don't have cable (just local channels on TV) and no telephone (the main source of communication there is cellphone). Its a remote place that is. During our stay with my family, the only entertainment for the kids are the animals like carabao, pigs, chicken and the kids that goes to our house everyday. Every afternoon we used to go to the seashore to watch the sunset and collect some shells. And everytime we come out our house, kids starts to follow us hehehe. My kids just love it.

I am glad that during our visit in the Philippines, my kids did not get sick and they enjoy every moment that we were there.

We're Grieving

My heart was crushed when I check my email this morning. I got this email from Gail back in West Virginia.
"John, Rose and Kids. Dad may have already called you to let you know, Aunt Athelea Passed away on Monday. We just found out our selves. I am sure he called you.Love you and miss you!"You may have read my previous post about Aunt Athelea who had a cancer and we were hoping that she would still be around when we come back home this year but she already passed away. I can't help not to cry because she was my second mother in a foreign land. She treated me like her own daughter and now she passed away without us there. The pictures were taken when we visited them before we came here in Korea. To you Uncle Bill, our prayers are with you and for Aunt Athelea soul resting in peace. We love you very much! May God give you great amount of strength to carry on this tough times.
