What's in a Name

The first paragraph is kinda not-so-true but the rest are:
What Rose Means
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

Find out what your name's meaning guys... Its FUN!

Benefits of Walking

I burnt 111 calories by walking for 30 minutes on a tread mill after my work last night. I inclined it to 3.0% and my average speed was 2.94, I walked about 1.6 miles or 237 feet on a mountain climb. Not bad right? I wanna grow old healthy so I can still see my kids have their own families and enjoy life with my loving husband.

Walking is an activity we do everyday everywhere. There's no great trick to walking.. It doesn't require any special skills or advanced conditioning. Some health benefits of walking include:

  • burns almost as many calories as jogging
  • eases back pains
  • slims your waist
  • lower blood pressure
  • reduces levels of bad cholesterol
  • reduces heart attack risks
  • enhances stamina and energy
  • lessens anxiety and tension
  • improves muscle tone
  • easy on your joints
  • reduces appetite
  • increases aerobic capacity
  • can be done in short bouts
  • slows down osteoporosis bone loss
  • and can be done when you're travelling

FOTO Fanatic

Call me photo addict but me and John love capturing our kids every little moments. This will be our greatest treasures when they're grown up and have their own lives. You know, they can't be kids forever and we have to accept the fact that sooner we will go back to being just us. Kinda sad to think about it but I am preparing myself to it. Time flies so fast and so is the children's growth.
Here's a snapshop of my daughter at the veranda of the cable car station at Mt. Seorak.

Here's Rylie and EJ at the hotel lobby..

Here's us with some Korean hikers!

Here's our family Pic at Seorak Mountain

Enjoy, your thoughts and opinions will be appreciated! Thank you...

My precious blessings

Isn't it weird how our kids are very different with each other? These are my kids differences and some things in common:
  • My daughter Rylie drank formula for 4 months but my son EJ didn't like it, he just want mom's b-milk;
  • She love baby food - and still love it until now, my son however don't
  • She started potty training before she turned one, now she's completely potty trained (got done using training pants when she was 2 1/2 years old). My son would cry everytime I try to put him in his potty. I think boys are harder to train compared to girls, do you agree?
  • EJ is allergy to peanut and Rylie is to soy milk
  • Rylie love dancing and EJ wants to sing a lot
  • EJ never cry whenever I am giving him a bath but Rylie always does (which frustrates me)
  • Rylie like butter, EJ don't
  • EJ used his baby crib, Rylie did not (its my fault I think lol)
  • EJ always wants me, Rylie wants Daddy
  • Rylie love fruits and veggies, not really for EJ
  • Rylie is not very fond of cake but EJ does
  • Rylie love just any kind of juice but EJ doesn't (would make faces when I try giving him some)

These are some things that they're in common with:
  • They're both loving
  • both passionate about nursing. Rylie nursed with me for 18 months until EJ was born so I have to wean her which she refused so much. EJ is 17 months old now and still nursing. Other people often asked, how can you let them.. I just tell them that I enjoy it too!
  • They both love outside
  • they both love filipino foods esp. rice
  • they always want Mommy when they get hurt or need something
  • and most especially they're both always malambing (sweet)

Well Celebrated Anniversary

I can say that our 5th wedding Anniversary was very memorable because it was celebrated in the Mountain with our kids. We left Chinhae on October 11 at 8 am and it was a dreadful 7 hours long drive... Here are some photos taken in the bus (am not in the pic, photographer ang role ko lol)..
Photos at rest stops....
Then we stopped at Sokcho Fish market where we devoured on some tempura shrimp and sushi.. Here are some snapshots: We arrived at the hotel around 5 pm, we slept early after taking shower and dinner.. Man that hotel was so hot, there's no ceiling fan or lampshades, weird huh.. the heating and colling runs on the floor.
The view on the hotel's veranda:
We head out to Mt. Seorak at 10 am and came back at around 6 pm, we ended the celebration with a dinner at the four season restaurant at the hotel with a filipina friend... picture taking while waiting for the food, we ordered bibimbap-it was good:
here's my daughter enjoying her pork steak - korean style
Oh we had a funny experience dining out because our original plan was to go out and eat at a Korean Resto so we asked the hotel desk clerk to help us find one, so he made some phone calls and finally he wrote something on a paper and told us to just handed it to the taxi driver. When we arrived there, no one understand what we are talking about and we can't understand what they are trying to tell us either, so we just left... lesson learned, never go out without an interpreter hahaha.... But of course to make it memorable, i have to take a pic lol..
