11th Anniversary

When hubby and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary, we took the kids to places we've never been to.  It wasn't extra ordinary but something different  than what we normally do.  We  explored the big  seafood market in Pittsburgh and then we also ate there.  Then on our way home, we  drove by the shopping area at Settler's Ridge Market District.
Since 11 was an odd number, we did odd stuff that we don't usually do.  The kids have enjoyed it and so did we.  It was a simple celebration but  quite memorable.  For us, it doesn't matter if we don't have a lavish way of celebrating anniversary, what matters is the  happiness that all of us including our kids has for the occasion.  May God bless  us more with more years of being in-love together.

Anniversary Dinner

We had a simple dinner at Eat n' Park for our wedding anniversary. We love to eat there because the staff are very friendly. The ambiance is very relaxing and clean and the food is good and not expensive.
Each of us has a favorite  food to eat there.  My husband love pot roast sandwich, Ms. Burrito love the salad bar, Mr. Burrito  like grilled cheese, and I love their nantucket cod.
Thanks to Angel,  the waitress who served us.  She had so many  customers to attend to but I commended her for being so energetic despite of her work load.

Nostalgic

Wedding anniversary is always a joyous moment for a couple to celebrate. It reminds us of the very day that we said our vows. Whenever my husband and I celebrate our anniversary, I always feel nostalgic because my father wasn't there to celebrate with us anymore during our nuptial.  My eldest brother had to send me to the altar during that special day  but sadly my brother is now gone too.  Both my late father  and brother  reminds me of my wedding day.

On the lighter note, I want to share  to you the  simple gifts that hubby and I gave each other  for our anniversary.

I ordered this Magnetic Levitating Globe at Red Envelope   weeks before  our anniversary so hubby won't see it.  He always surprised me present so this time I told him not to get me anything so I could  make it up to him.
He like it and the kids like it too because  the globe  is floating and they find it very entertaining while  learning different countries.  We always wanted to buy a big globe when we were still in Korea but we never got the chance to get one  over there.  This one might be small but good enough for the kids to explore the  world.
I told hubby not to get me anything but  I was surprised when he handed me this wireless mouse.  He knows that I  was struggling with my old mouse so he got me this  cute one.  Now I don't have to deal with the wire and everything.  Thanks hon!
Speaking of being nostalgic, I have a meme called Nostalgia at my Nostalgic Marveling blog.  Your post could be anything that reminds you of a place, somebody, or something such as Old pictures, souvenir from friends, family, or place that you visited, Experience or story.   Join  me every Thursday.

Blissful Marriage

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

I thank God for the patience that He gave me  because I found the  right one!
Happy Anniversary my dearest Kulangot!

Church Wedding Anniversary

It all started with a simple hello on the screen
a short message.... and a brief reply

then friendship bloomed... a love affair...

And today we are blessed with love and life as ONE!

Six years today, we solemnly renewed our vows in church.
Six years today, I am the happiest bride you'd see
Six years today, we promised to love each other forever
Six years today, I am glad that you asked, will you marry me again!

When we first got married (seven years ago), it was a very simple rite at our municipal hall, we did not  have time to prepare and celebrate as my father died unexpectedly.  My mother  encouraged to pursue of what we planned anyway because  that was what my father wanted.  Before I migrated here in the States, my husband wanted to give me a proper wedding ceremony so that my family back home  would  witness our love for each other.  Thank you HON for making my dreams come true, I love you!

Celedon

Every year, my husband want to buy something for our anniversary. This year, him and I decided to get a set of celedon vase (man and woman). He also got the big plate to represent our kids. This will be our very memorable remembrance of our stay here in Korea.
It cost 225 bucks for the whole set, a little bit pricey but I guess its worth it.
