Painting with a Twist Field Trip

My daughter is very excited about her   first field trip   in the gifted program.  They have to go  at Robinson Town Center  for  an activity called "Paint with a Twist".  She loves doing any kinds of art related activities so she is very   excited in doing it.  The trip cost $25 and we have to pack her lunch.

My husband took a day off on that day because he has to  bring  our Honda  to the dealership for car maintenance.  We will also go to the dentist on that day and will try to see if we still have time to   claim their painted plates.  We will see.

Everyday

"Everyday brings new chances to grow, new beauty to see and goals to  pursue...
every new day is a step towards your pleasant dreams."
-Nuggets of Wisdom -
We finished the valentine project that me and the kids started last week.  I am glad that both of my Burritos love to do this kind of stuff with me.   They also made a card for me and hubby.  Both of them has it's own  signature  way of drawing people.
We had fun doing this project.  Some of the  materials we used are just recycled from old stuff.
Happy Valentine's Day  to all of you!  May each of us celebrate this special occasion with lots of compassion for others and  love in our hearts.

Art Expression

My little artist draw herself in a big postal packaging wrap.  I thought she is doing something  ornery the other day because she locked her bedroom door.  I asked her what she was doing and she just said "I am almost done MOM" and I thought, "Oh NO."
But I was surprised when she showed me this.  She said that it's her.
I am biased when it comes to giving my kids and assessment but she really amazes me when it comes to her arts expression because I am  38 years old and I couldn't even draw anything lol.

Artsy Kids

On the eve of Mother's Day, my burritos were in the mood to draw something. Mr. Burrito started it, he hid in our dining room where the illustration board is and started tracing his hand, then he told me to come and see his surprise for me.
Ms. Burrito heard what he said so she  went  and started drawing something.
Here are their  art works.  Ms. Burrito's drawing isn't finish yet, she added something to it  and made 5 copies of it (will show it later).
We're off to church folks, thanks for visiting and for leaving your thoughts.

Playdoh Cookies

Two sets of our burrito's playdoh are already hardening up due to excessive air exposure so before it totally gets hard, we decided to mold them into playdoh cookies last Friday.
It's fun for all the three of us because Mr. Burrito was a great help in kneading the dough and Ms. Burrito was in charge of baking it in her "oven".
I never had these stuff during my childhood so playing with them, I felt like a big kid hahaha.
Here are some of the "cookies" we've made.
We used the empty cookie cans to put all of them.
Now whenever Ms. Burrito wants to "host" a tea party, she has something to serve for a "snack".  So don't let your  playdoh hardened up, make something out of it.

Scribbles

These are some of our daughter's scribbled art on the computer. It amazes me that I only have to show her once on how to open the paint section on the computer and she knows it already. She can just click and click and she is already scribbling. I think she will be a good blogger too later on hehehe..
She was very proud of this fish..Here is the boot or shoe that she drew. What funny is that when I ask her questions like "How do you change the color?", she would describe it to me step by step.

Our little Burito is an artist in the making

My little Burito was in the mood to draw things that she see in her movies... She drew these two today, she said that it is an alligator but it looks like a dragon fly to me lol..
These are the following photos she drew yesterday... This one, she said is a lobster from Sponge Bob Squarepants show
This one she said is a sleeping lion..
According to her, this is the left over of the fish that her imaginary cat ate..
This one here is a character from the show she love to watch, Teddy Roxpin... An octopede whose name is Grabby..
Alright guys, that's what my little burito munchkin has in store for you.

Art Work for the Day

I heard my son's signature sound when he is very busy doing something that he really like. So I immediately check and sure enough he was making an art work in the wall wahhhhhhhh... He found a piece of red crayon from his sister's art and crafts drawer so he started scribbling it on the wall. My husband is gonna be so much happy with this hahaha, he just got done cleaning with the other parts of the wall in the house. Oh well, part of having fun isn't it?
EJ was so proud when I approach him of what he did lol...So there you go folks, the art work for the day!

Future Artist

I am glad to see the artistic side of our children. I am happy that they got that trait from their Dad because I don't have it hehehe..

Here's EJ painting his coloring book last night. He look so serious while drawing hahaha. Sometimes when his sister don't want to share her stuff, he would cry like heck lol. The only problem I am having is that they love to paint everywhere, including walls of our house wahhhhhh... Good thing there is Magic eraser available in the store, or else it will be a pain....

Giant Spider

My daughter and husband have a phobia on spiders. Well, yesterday as I was busy with my daily routine, she showed me this picture of art that she drew. At first glanced, I thought it was an ant but she told me that the reason why she cried the other night because this giant spider is trying to get her. So basically she had a bad dream about it hehehe.I admire my daughter's interest with arts because I don't have it. I suck in drawing stuff hahaha. My husband however is very good, I think most of his family members knows how to draw pretty well. That makes me happy because my weakness is their strength hehehe. Balanced right?

Product of Boredom

When I got pregnant with my first one (I was still in the Phils then), my husband suggested that I should stop working in school, for me and the baby's safety. He was so protective of us, for the fact that we've waited for over a year and a half before I finally conceived. Since I live a little bit far from my family, there's nothing much to do but to shop and sleep. To ease away the boring days of my pregnancy, I got addicted to cross stitching.. Here are some of those I made..
A mom and the baby at the seashore... I like this design because it always reminds me of our beautiful place, which is known for whalesharks.. Donsol Sorsogon..
My favorite flower.. ROSE.. Are you familiar of this quote by Shakespeare? "What's in a name? That which we call a ROSE by any other name would smell as sweet" a queruben's smile set of baby's footprints.

our wedding dates...
