Playing Time

These photo taken a couple of days ago when all of us were having fun in here in our humble abode. They say that playtime is just for kids but us is an exception hehehe..  Our daughter took this pic while my husband and I were having fun being kids
Here's EJ enjoying his cousin Angel's company playing in the sand.. They loved throwing rock in the ocean shore. During our stay in the Philippines, we don't have fancy toys in there but they did have a great time playing with the kids. EJ just wore shorts the whole time we were there because he was sweating a lot. Here's Rylie just having fun with the stick they were playing with
I was so glad that my kids got to experience how to live a very simple life and yet enjoy it. Thanks for peeking at my entry MOMs and friends!

The majestic Mayon Volcano

I took these photographs while we were waiting for our flight going to Manila last July 5 . I captured one of the plane that was taking off with the view of the majestic Mayon Volcano. This beauty is threatening to erupt again. One of my blogger friend informed me that the Mayon volcano is acting up. I hope that it won't be that bad.

We had so much fun!

During my late brother's wake, we made it sure to cheer up my nieces in order to relieve some of their stress. We always went to the ocean everyday and do something like making sand castle, finding some crabs, collect some shells, and swam! I taught EJ how to swim and he had so much fun doing it.
We've seen an octopus in the sand so the kids watched it crawled back to the ocean. Do you see the octopus? I feel so bad for my nieces, they cried so much when we buried their father.

Anahaw Leaves

My family lives in Southern part of Luzon in the Philippines where the famous whale sharks can be found, in Donsol Sorsogon. My mother wants to live there because she was born and raised in Donsol, she find it very peaceful stay where she grew up. Most of the houses there uses Anahaw leaves for the roofing, only few uses the galvanized iron corrugated ones. Anahaw leaves makes the inside of the house more cooler compared to having a G.I.corr roof. Here are some snapshots of the anahaw leaves that hubby took when I introduced him to this plant. My father planted this before he died.
Have you ever seen an anahaw? I posted a researched details about anahaw at the comment section so you may read it if you are interested. I also found out that aside from fan (product i know out of anahaw) there is still product that you can make out of this leaf. I also would like to add that when I was in grade school we don't have lunch boxes so we were using the baby anahaw leaves to put our foods in, it's our alternative for banana leaves. You might not believe it but its true..
