Jolly Roger Experience #SiblingsDay

Today is national siblings day.  I wish I could visit all my sibling and give them hugs but I am thousands of miles away from them.  Since I can't do that, I will just write about our   experience  in Jolly Roger in Ocean City, Maryland two years ago.
Having  children is a wonderful gift.  Both of our kids   brings us joy in almost everything that they do.  Becoming a parent to these two wonderful kids  is a  great blessing from God, they are our treasure.  Having a boy and a girl is like  dealing with night and day situation.  They are so different in so many ways 2which is challenging sometimes but one thing that they have in common is their love for traveling.  Both of these are like hubby and I  who enjoys traveling.
In 2014, we decided to go on a road trip and went to Ocean City Maryland to celebrate our daughter's 8th birthday.  Our son always say that  his sister is very lucky because she was born in the summer and now that they both go to school, Rylie's birthday is always on school break.
As much as we would like to go somewhere during  EJ's birthday, the option  is very limited because it is on winter time.  So what we do is  have a good getaway on  our daughter's birthday so we could all enjoy it.
Going to Ocean City was a great decision as we had a total  blast out there.  Not only that we enjoy the ocean but we also enjoy  the recreation  in Ocean City such as the Jolly Roger Park.
It was too hot out there that walking in your bathing suit  is very normal.
I hope that we could go back there again someday.  I wouldn't want to stay  very long  though, it gets tiring  after a couple of days.  I think two to three days is enough to enjoy the place.
This year, we won't be able to go  on a far destination as traveling isn't in our budget this year but hopefully we could do something fun together.  To my siblings, I miss you guys so much.  I pray that we could all get together soon.

Kalahari Fun Water Obstacle

I gave my husband the camera  when the kids took off to swim because I had to stay  in the table where our things were.  We rented a locker but apparently, the lockers are  so small thjat it only fits a bag and some  small stuff.  If I could have known it was small, I would have just kept the money and just  guard our things my own, that's what I did  with the other things anway.
But anyway, my husband  said that the kids liked this  obstacle course set up which they call American Ninja obstacles lol.
Bopth kiddos are very  competitive so they made a bet that whoever drop on the water loses.
So here they go.  Glad both of them are strong for this type of activity.
As you can see, Rylie has two more  floats to go through and EJ still has three.
.. and he dropped on the water at the ast one lol.
It was a nice competitive race for  them.
EJ was bummed but Rylie was happy she completed the course without falling.  Rylie is a lot more cautions that him so in situations like this, she would always prevail.   They really had a blast out there.  They temporarily forgotten about Winter.

Ocean City, July 2014

Seeing my children enjoyed the water in Ocean City reminds me of my childhood. I grew up in a coastal area so most of the times, kids swim in the ocean when it is calm and safe. Kids over there pretty much learn how to swim by themselves.  We don't have to go through swimming lessons because it is part of our survival living in the  coastal area.
I did not have  any fancy things growing up but I experienced fun things that my kids are not fortunate to have  living  in a modern world.  Simple living  to me is the bomb in learning  many things.
Gadgets did not exist in my childhood.  We did not even have a TV in our home but our childhood was  very normal.  We pretty much enjoy whatever is around us.
I am glad that although, we are  living  far from the ocean, we can afford to  go to one once in a while and let them experience the  joy of  things away from gadgets and stuff.
I am glad that my children enjoy even the simplest things like going on a creek and trying to catch cray fish.  You know just for experience.  A lot of kids are not interested anymore in doing those kind of activities.
Our son was fearless in the water.  He is not scared to go under the waves lol.
I miss the ocean ever since I came here but I am not really into  swimming in it.  I'd rather swim in the pool than in the ocean.
So yeah, our trip to Maryland was a fun-filled family trip that I hope my  children will always remember when  they grow up.
I hope that when I am gone and they somehow look through my blog posts and read them, that they would feel joy in their hearts.
We are not rich but we  d our best to  make our children's childhood worthwhile.  I think that is what matters the most.  I always tell them that  even though we can't afford a lot of things that they want, we love them!

Exciting Magic Carpet Ride

Another exciting ride for the kids that we all tried is  the magic carpet of Aladdin.  To ignore my dizziness, I busied myself by taking  photos  of things I see while the ride was spinning and we are on  on top lol.
Since the it was a fast ride, I wasn't able to capture  the whole images, just some part of it.
The Daddies are uber sports with  all the rides hehehe.
The Mommies are in charge in documenting   all the  magic moments hehehe.
I know I have been posting all Disney World pictures and I hope that you are not getting bored hahaha.  There's a lot to see and experience out there that you can't stop yourself from taking photos.  There's a lot more to come lol

Relaxing Expedition

After a good amount of walking, we rested our legs through a short river expedition called Riverboat  Landing. We saw different neat display along the river.

These two did staring competition every chance they get lol.
The short river  cruise definitely gave us our energy back.  Thanks for visiting and for leaving your thoughts.

Triple the Fun

A jump shot of the trio we have in tow during our Disney World adventure. The time they spent together and us parents as well was magical.
They  really want to try everything they see in Magic Kingdom with glee.

Stormy Sea

Another neat stuff that we saw in Disney World, is the water effect on movies in Hollywood Studio.  They showed us how  actors do some stunts in stormy sea.
Our angels while we were waiting for the bus to arrive and bring us from the hotel to Hollywood Studio.  We rode the bus  on the first and second day but on the thrid and fourth day, we decided for us to drive.
Here are the Dads, so eager  to led the team to see some magical moments.
Okay guys, it's time to pause and  pose for the mommies hehehe.
Of course the mommies have to have some photos too, lol!
Here are the volunteers from the audience (in blue) who were willing to  be the actors for the  day.
It was cool to see how they make certain  scene in the movies look like real which in  reality, they just use some props and other things.
The stormy sea effect  was terrific but it did not end there, we rode a train after that and they showed us how flood in the movie is being made.  But that is another  post hehehe.
Ahhh Disney World is magical, we would do it again but maybe when the kids are bigger lol.
