Laughter

They always say that laughter is the best medicine... Do you believe in this? I DO! It also a great exercise for our face especially our jaw. Laughing increases oxygen intake, thereby replenishing and invigorating cells.
Nothing is more important than happiness - it has a global effect on all areas of your life including success and even health. Here's just one of many findings about the benefits: researchers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, found that people who laughed the least were 40 per cent more likely to suffer from heart disease than people who laughed more frequently.
^Laughing engages almost every major part of your body.
^When you laugh, you lose muscular control (fall over, bend over or wet yourself).
^Laughter exercises your diaphragm. The diaphragm separates your chest cavity and your abdomen.
^When you laugh, it convulses and gives your organs a much-needed massage, stimulating circulation and enhancing general wellbeing.
^When you laugh, your heart rate and blood pressure increase, dilating your cardiovascular system. When you stop, they decrease to below normal. Laughing ultimately lowers heart rate and blood pressure.Laughing increases oxygen intake.
^When we laugh, we gulp in air. Because the cardiovascular system is already dilated, the oxygen moves a lot faster to already relaxed muscles. This is one reason why you feel so good afterwards.
^Laughing balances the brain. During normal beta activity, the left and right sides of your brain look different under a PET (positron emission tomography) scan. When you laugh, both sides look almost identical.
^Laughing releases the body's natural opiates and pain reliever; beta-endorphins.
^When you laugh, your head and your facial muscles move. These muscles are connected to your thymus gland, which in turn is responsible for your immune system. The more you laugh, the better your immune system. The results of this are a release of tension, extreme relaxation, bonding with fellow laughers and, very often, the end of conflict and enough mental space to work out a resolution
Laugh often, long and loud. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with them.

A Candle of Life

One of our close friend back in the States has been diagnosed with uterus cancer and will have a surgery soon. Please help me pray for her safe operation and fast recovery. She sent me this prayer and I hope that you can share a little time to stop by and read this and hopefully let this circulate in the blog sphere.
Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen. All you are asked to do is keep this circulating, even if it's to one more person. In memory of anyone you know that has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it. A Candle Loses Nothing by Lighting Another Candle. Please Keep This Candle Going! There will be a cure soon. Thank you. Gaile Seevers.

YAKISOBA

I woke up early this morning so I can grab some opps while the kids are still asleep and I got lucky to have one. After I got done and submitted it, I started preparing the ingredients I need for our breakfast. I was in the middle when everything came off.. Oh my, I totally forgot about the power outage today. Not a good situation during summer, whew! But anyhow, I told my kids if they would like to go to the Gym so we can play while the electric is out. They like the idea so we head out there and played for about two hours and then came back home. When the power resumed, I cooked our suppose to be breakfast YAKISOBA and ate it for brunch. Masarap na pansit mga kababayan! Miss ko na kasi ang pansit hehehe..

bloghopping

Whew! I just got done visiting all the blogpals on my list, kakapagod din pala. I am just sad that while browsing and giving my sincere comments to some I noticed that some of them don't even have my link on their list (sigh), though they told me that they will include me in theirs.. Oh well that's life, all I can do is to just delete some of those who never visit me (maybe because they don't have my link).. Have to go to work tonight so I did my rounds earlier.. Happy blogging everyone!
