Pneumonia, Ear Infection, and Flu

Hello everyone! We had a rough day today (3-7-11). We didn't have a good night sleep last night because Mr. Burrito kept us up. He was pretty sick then Ms. Burrito woke up crying because she was fevered. I was so worried (still am) about them. We did not let Ms. Burrito go to school today and decided to bring them to the doctor once again (for the third time).
Mr. Burrito threw up a couple of times this morning so it really triggered my  nervousness.
HIGH  fever is dangerous when left uncured.  They both  got up to  105.3 which is pretty HIGH!  This is my  entry to ABC Wednesday for letter H.
We brought them at the doctor this afternoon.  I felt so bad with Mr. Burrito because he was in agony.  They were given  a dose of motrin right away and let them eat some pedialyte freeze pops to reduce their fevers.
The doctor   performed an xray this time and swabbed them both for flu.  We will know the result for flu tomorrow but I am praying and hoping that they don't have it.  Based from the xray, Ms. Burrito is developing a Pneumonia while Mr. Burrito's xray result  turned out fine.  He does however have an ear infection..  Oh boy, I just wish that they could have done the tests since last  visit so that the Pneumonia could have been predicted.

Instead of amoxycillin, the doctor   prescribed  a much stronger  antibiotic for Mr. Burrito which is the Cefdinir.  For Ms. Burrito's Pneumonia, she has to take  azithromycin.  Ms. Burrito feels better when we came home, I hope that she won't have any fever anymore tomorrow.  Mr. Burrito on the other hand still has a fever.  All of the three are now in bed since hubby was so tired  with no sleep last night.  I am so tired too but I have  some tasks to write so am trying to stay  awake.
Thanks to all who keep our burritos in their prayer, please continue to say a prayer for them.  Thank you all so much for your concerns, well wishes, and visits.

  1. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your burritos will recover soon. I really dreaded fever with my child because it's a sign there's something wrong. My keona had her first hospitalization due to pneumonia when she was only 2 months old. Really draining physically, emotionally and financially. God bless you and your family.

  16. Sending get well thoughts to Mr & Ms Buritto. Such a worry. I've never heard of pedialyte freeze pops, Ms Buritto seems to be enjoying it. Hope they are feeling better soon. I had my tonsils out as a child, and loved the ice cream after the op.
Thank you for you kind comments over on mine.

  18. Oh dear! I hope the children are much better now. My mum always put a cold wet cloth on our heads when we had a fever, to bring the fever down. So did I with my children.
I wish your children a speedy recovery!

  20. You are undergoing a trial and test Rose. But do not lose heart, God is still in control of your lives. Just trust God and hold on to His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you. I join you in prayers for the divine healing of your kids. We rebuke the spirit of pneumonia, flu and ear infection in them. By the stripes of Jesus they are healed. Amen. I have requested my readers to pray for your kids. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

  24. Ang dalawa pala ang may fever. I don't know kung I have already told you about home remedy sa ear infection, garlic oil or extra virgin oil lang yan Mommy Rose, let it warm a bit, cool it sa body temperature natin, din put it inside sa ear, din to make it a bit fun sing abcd then tilt the head to let the oil out. Do it at least 3 times a day. And then at night crushed garlic, put it on their feet and then put on the socks, it will make them sleep at night. And then ito, matawa ka talaga nito, put onions in a bowl put (not peeled) it at their side night table, it will absorb sa mga bacteria cause by this season. At pag may ubo sila kung meron kang efficascent rub it on their feet then put on the socks, or vicks it will relieve them and make them sleep at night. By the way, kung may ear infection pa huwag mong pa-inumin nang milk or anything dairy.
By the way, your my second featured blogger ^_^

drink lots of water, juice, eat bananas, and take medication regularly, after 3 or 4 days, it will quite.
