Our newly hired gardener....

My kids wanted to play outside one time last year so I decided to do some gardening while watching them.. As I was pulling out the weeds, my two makukulit ones are pulling the flowers too... Ugggghhhh.. sentiments of the plants hahaha.. When I got done weeding out, I watered them and my son EJ wanted to get the hose from me.. I sprayed him with water and he found it very amusing so I did it over and over again.. Then I let him hosed the rest of the plants..
here are the pics..

Yellow and Red Trees

It's time to participate for and Ruby Tuesday and Outdoor Wednesday.

I took this one on our way to Daegu, the whole street of Masan is full of golden colored trees. Isn't this beautiful?
This one is inside the base. My husband and I took these photos when the weather was still good and the trees are in its full color.

These two were taken by my husband.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

froggy saturday re-ignites turtle memories

One of my favorite past time is gardening, I always want to make sure that my flowers don't have weeds in them. I was doing my gardening one Saturday morning when I saw this frog, well, my husband said it was a toad. so I called my kids and showed it to them. They were so fascinated because that was their first time to see a toad.
My daughter remembered the turtle that my husband found in the woods a year ago back in the States. We kept it for a day and we decided to put him back in the woods. My daughter told us that we need to return the turtle back where her Dad found it because the Mommy of the turtle is waiting for her. I was moved by my daughter's loving gesture/attitude towards animals especially in her very young mind.

Sunset in the land of the morning calm.

My husband's sweet tooth attacked last weekend so we have to dove down the Korean Navy Base to buy some cake. We've waited at the car while he went. I took these beautiful colors of the sky while we've waited. I like this anchor design of street light, what do you think?

Wishing you a great weekend everyone!

Proud as I can be

June 19 of last year, we received a package from my sister in law from the States. Rylie was so excited because most of its content was hers. She got her very first helmet, although she didn't know how to use the big bike yet, she was so happy. I told her to try her big bike. She was hesitant at first but she tried it anyway and I was so amazed that she learned it so quickly. I am so proud of you Anak!
This is one of Rylie's precious milestones. First time to be able to use her big bike by herself

Night Time Predator

One of the main problems we're having, being overseas, is the mosquitoes. Our house is located near a mountain with trees. During summer time, mosquitoes are everywhere. Every time we open our door, some of them manage to sneak in. Then later that night, they attack us....especially our daughter.
My husband and daughter are very sensitive to mosquito bites; swelling occurs easily and it takes time for the bites to fade. Our daughter often wakes in the middle of the night complaining about the itching sensation caused by the numerous bites she aquired while being asleep. We try to keep her body covered as much as possible but they still attack her face.
We became so fed up with the situation that we purchased a small mosquito tent which fits nicely over a twin mattress. So far, we have had success, not a single bite and she sleeps through the night. Thank God! I hope that these "blood thirsty" little beasts won't bother my daughter anymore. Our only concern now is crawling insects. This area is known for its heavy population of centipedes. We must always ensure these invaders can't get inside the net. We pray to God for continued success.
Even now that is cold already, we still see some mosquitoes flying around. I am glad that in two weeks time, we're outta here. I'll sure miss Korea but not the mosquitos!

Operation smile

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. ~Author Unknown

Hi Clang, I know that you are experiencing a great loss right now but be reminded that there are still a lot of things to smile and thank the Lord about. Smile and be merry because it is your birthday.

This tag comes with rules to post your sweet smile and the smile quote for someone special who is celebrating her birthday today. Happy birthday Clang.

Gone with the Wind

We had a brown out today from 9 am to 6 pm so we decided to go to Busan International Market with my student Amy. I took a lot of pictures but unfortunately my camera got sick and threw up, she was in comatose for a while so we had to reformat her.. I lost every picture I had in there wahhhhhhhh.. I need a new one.. I am so annoyed that my camera let me down today heiiizzzz, the memories that I captured was gone...SIGH....

But anyhow, aside from my camera's dilemma, we had fun. My kids enjoyed feeding the pigeons at the park, we enjoyed taking pictures (which was lost grrrrr) and we shop till our wallet dropped lol... Today's adventure ended at the Chinese resto where we devoured tastylicious foodie (just imagine friends that I posted several pics)... God bless everyone!

Hey, wait a minute, Amy sent me this... Mwah, you're an angel Amy!

Hala sige anak habulin mo yan, bigyan mo kasi ng food hehehe..

Note: This is just a repost from my last year's post. We will be going somewhere so I'll just share this one for my Camera Critters.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Self-Giving to God

The theme for the scriptures last Sunday is Self-Giving to GOD. "With God there are no endings. Only Endless beginnings!
A priest was asked: "Father, how much should I spend on my wife's Christmas present?" In plain language, the answer was: "If you love her, you know. And if you do not love her, give nothing!" Around Christmas, Mother's day, and Father's day millions are made on our desire to express our affections for loved ones by giving present. (Say it with flowers!) Giving is a symbolic way of saying : "I love you, I'm grateful, I'm sorry, forget what has happened!" expressing meanwhile a whole gamut of feelings in between.
After the mass, the chapel usually serves coffee and cookies for the church parishioner to enjoy. These are taken last Sunday after the mass with my Korean friends.
Coffee anyone?

Our little fashionista

Our daughter love shoes. And being born in the year of the rooster, she wants to match her clothes with the color of shoes too. She found this pair of red shoes at the mall last weekend and she was talking me into buying it but I said no because it was expensive. But I took picture of her and the shoes for my Ruby Tuesday entry..

Sunset

Let's have fun and explore the Sky Watch Friday.
These are the photos that me and my husband took when we watched the sunset at our place in Donsol, Philippines (March 2009). It's funny because everytime we go out our house and go somewhere all the kids follow us everywhere we go, so we kind look like having a procession lol.. It's a very good thing for our kids though, they got to interact with the kids there.

encounter with animals

Would you like to have fun with different kinds of critters, join the Camera Critters.
Our two kiddoes had a blast watching the pigs and chickens at our place when we were in the Philippines. Before our visit, we showed them the pictures that my husband took of me and my brother when I was bathing my mother's pig. So Rylie immediately told us that she wants to bath a pic g too but unfortunately mama don't have any when we came home. So I brought them to our neighbor's piggery and they really had fun watching them.
