Confession

I have confession to make! After so many Sundays that we did not go to church, we finally made it today. Our daughter asked us if we can go this time. I know, Bad ME! After my brother died, I skipped going to church but I thanked God for reminding me of my faith through my daughter. The theme for today's service is the Healing Activity of our Lord. This helped me out to rekindle my faith and relationship to HIM. To fully explained the theme, I copied the context through the leaflet that I took from church.
A healthy person, who seldom or never needs a physician, finds difficulty in understanding the anguish, frustration, and never-to-be fulfilled desires of the physically handicapped. In primitive societies and prescientific times, the condition of the handicapped is even worse than it is today. There were no rehabilitation programs for them, no wheelchairs or any equipment that gave them at least some relief. Since religious belief regarded their mesiry as related to sin and moral
guilt, they were often outcast for whom nobody cared.
We find it although natural, therefore, that the writers of the Bible used the wrenched situation of the lame, the blind , and the deaf, the epileptics, and the lepers (all of whom they believed to be in the power of the demons) as a figure to describe humankind's alination from Godand the healing of these people as a signof God's powerful and caring presence. Ethically speaking, we could be like some of those handicapped. Pray that the Lord may open your ears to listen to his message. "Ephphta!' - that is, Be Opened!"

  1. I also have a confession to make--I'm not really a religious one at minsan talaga,I don't pray at all.Pero ewan ko lang last Friday,I passed a small chapel through Wakaba's school and it was opened,I directly walked inside the chapel, prayed and give thanks for all the blessings.Ewan ko ba,palagi ko naman dinadaan ang chapel na yun, parang ngayon ko lang napansin...

Sorry nga pala of the inconvenience, ginagawa pa lang kasi ni Grace yung layout ko eh.
Have a blissful Sunday to you and your family,Ate Rose!

btw, meron na bang specific date kung kelan ang alis balik nyo papuntang US?

  8. Same here, I have a confession to make. Its been more than a year since the last time I go to church and hear the mass bakla. I was glad that when I was at the hospital giving birth, a priest came to my room and gave me a confession and communion too.

I know that praying on our own isnt enough to tell the Lord how blessed we are and thank HIM for everything. But thats the only thing I can do for now because church here are 5 mins drive and besides I have two rugrats to take care of. I know my excuses are so lame but Ill make it up when everything is back to normal busyness. Thanks for sharing this sundays gospel bakla atleast it reminded us all to pray and listen to his message. I love the the message of this footprints in the sand. Amen!

  9. God is really good. He used your daughter to touch your heart and open your eyes to His amazing grace and infinite mercy. You may not understand now why God took your brother with Him to paradise. But you will later in God's own time. We just have to trust Him that He will always do the best for all of us. God loves you so much and it pained Him more than you when you suffered for the death of your brother. You just have to move on and trust that God will never leave you nor forsake you. I pray that God will give you the grace to finally move on from the death of your brother. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

  12. Me too Rose.I admit since I married my husband I CAN count on my fingers when was the last time I visit the Churh & hear mass,'though I always pray in my own way, before I go to sleep, even when I woke up in the morning, before I go to my office & do my driving, when I gets home & even before I eat, breakfast ,lunch,& supper.Hindi ko yata nakakalimutang mag give praise to our Lord God.I haven't got any chance to go to church,I wasn't allow too,it's always be in their temple kaya naman I made a lil altar near beside our bedroom to pray & give thanks & prase Him at all the time buti na lang hindi na nila pinagkait pa sa akin yon.lol:D
Kaya wag ka ng maguilty ha.kung meron mang dapat,I guess it's me.;D God Bless!
