Kamatis (Tomato)

Food fight! Today thousands of revelers in Buñol, Spain, will pick up their weapon of choice—tomatoes—to take part in the annual throwing festival, la Tomatina. You can celebrate this fruit in a more civilized way with cooking club's trio of recipes. They'll give you all the satisfaction, without all the mess: Pesto-Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes With the tip of a paring knife, hollow out small V-shaped cavities in the tops of plump cherry tomatoes.

Fill with a dab of purchased pesto. Tomato and Cheese Melts Top 4 slices of rustic bread with slices of tomato and smoked Gouda cheese. Place on a baking sheet; broil 2 minutes or until cheese melts and browns. Sliced Summer Tomatoes Thinly slice 1 lb. tomatoes; arrange overlapping on platter. Sprinkle with scant 1/4 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste; drizzle with 5 teaspoons olive oil and 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar. Garnish with 3 sliced green onions. Let stand 5 to 15 minutes before serving.

The More the Better

I started blogging in early June this year and I can say that I love and enjoying it a lot. I am getting addicted to it actually lol. What great about blogging is that you will meet a lot of people from different walks of life and you certainly learned a lot of things from them. A plus factor is that you can earn some cash from it. Ang saya say diba? If i could have learn this long time ago, maybe am debt free now hahaha (just kidding my friends).

But kidding aside, blogging really help us a lot in many ways. We gain friends, we learned a lot from reading other people's post, it help us express ourselves, it releases tensions and it is actually a form of relaxation for me. I'm glad that advertisers are utilizing the media through bloggers in promoting their stuff. Nowadays that money is so tight, you have to look for ways on how to add additional income to your pocket. If you want some more opportunities to take, you can check out iHype and see if it suits your interest. The more opportunities you can grab, the better!

Weekends for Daddy

Weekends are Daddy's time with the makukulit little ones due to my work schedule. To entertain the kids, my husband always take them to the Homeplus mall nearby here so they could play with the Korean Kids in town.. Here are some pictures:

Watch out!

I was stunned when my sister-in-law in the States told me weeks ago that there was a porn video pop up on my page. I was like, it can't be! I was so defensive because I never knew that it exists. But then, I found out that one of my bloggie friends had the same problem. So I told myself, maybe its true. But weeks had passed and I'd already forgotten about it. Thinking that it went away because I'd already removed some of the widgets that I had installed on my sidebar (that's what my bloggie friend did to remedy this problem). But to my dismay, I just got informed yesterday that there was another pop up again. That was it, that's the last straw for me, this has got to stop! I am so pissed off and embarrassed that such things exist in my blog without my knowledge.

My page is created in order to impart some inspiring experiences to decent readers with different ages, so please don't use it to promote your kalaswaan at kababuyan! Create your own website and show whatever you want, don't display that type of thing here. Don't corrupt my readers with your evil wrongdoings. Don't use my page in monetizing your piggyback porn sites! Shame on YOU! Don't you have conscience? For Christ's sake, spare my webpage with your dirty crap! To all my readers, please don't hesitate to tell me if you see this type of pop up again. Thank you!

Movado

My husband is very fond of  Movado Watches . He has one in our display cabinet that he bought two years a go but he never did wear it. I asked him why he is not using it, he told me that it is one of his precious collection. So I think for our wedding anniversary, I will get him another Movado watch that he could use or add in his collections. Now is the right time to buy luxury watches on their site because they have end of the summer sale and hundreds of prices are reduced. And they have a great offer of shipping it for free if you are ordering from United States through FedEx. I have learned that my husband's favorite watch has its own meaning. Movado means always in motion. It has lived up to it's name since its founding in 1881. They are dedicated to producing superior quality timepieces in a classic and timeless style. Movado has more than accomplished its goal. A Movado watch is a symbol of elegance and distinction. The movado watches collection includes some of the most famous timepieces ever made, and it continues to adorn the rich and famous. Movado has a long history as an award winning and visionary watchmaker. One need only gaze upon the distinctive and renowned Movado styles to appreciate the company's hegemony in the world of high fashion watches. With soft, graceful and elegant lines, Movado timepieces evoke purity of design and quality Swiss craftsmanship.  Here is the picture of my husband's  Movado watch .

Cravings....

My luvvydubby called me from work this morning and asked Can you please do me a favor?" I said "Of course, what is it?" Hubby said "Can you make us some giniling for lunch?" "Ahhhh, ok, I'll try.. " i sad. He's been bugging me for this for a long time now but I never did so because I don't know how hahaha. But then again I have to fill my honey's craving so I looked on the net for some recipe's but am not very contented with what I found so I called my Pinay neighbor on how to make it. She said that she usually makes it with ground beef but since I only have ground pork, I am going to try my own hahaha. Thanks Ate Lelet! Now we're done eating lunch and I got an excellent rating from him, even my picky eater (my son EJ) ate a lot. My daughter said "See Mom, everytime I helped you cook, the food tastes a lot better!" I got a good laugh on that one lol.. Here it is tadah!

A must see.. and read.. and reflect!

These pictures were voted as the best email of the year. This was forwarded to me by a friend and I can't keep it to myself. I have to share this to all of you out there and see if these photographs will make a good impact in your lives as it did mine. Seeing all these scenarios made me feel so blessed and very lucky!
If you think you are unhappy, look at them
If you think your salary is low, how about her?

If you think you don't have many friends...

When you feel like giving up, think of this man...

If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

If you complain about your transport system, how about them?
If your society is unfair to you, how about her?
Enjoy life how it is and as it comes Things are worse for others and is a lot better for us. There are many things in your life that will catch your eyes but only a few will catch your heart....pursue those...
Observe around you and be thankful for all that you have in this transitry lifetime. We are fortunate, we have much more than what we need to be content. Let's try not to feed this endless consumerism and immorality in which this "modern and advanced" society forgets and ignores the other two thirds of our brothers and sisters. Let us complain less and give more.

My little man!

Everytime I am cleaning our house, my son EJ would always want to help me. It's a big feat if I don't let him participate. Just like yesterday, I was trying to hurry up and clean before I go to work but my lil' boy followed me around complaining because he wanted to push the vacuum cleaner. I let him do it and he look at me smiling and very proud! Here's the kuha ng kasipagan. KODUS anak, way to go!..

breaking monotony

To break the monotony of our everyday activity, my husband took a day off from work today and we got outta here. We went to another city, Taegu, its a 2-hour drive from our location. We shopped a little bit and ate at Subway.. No fancy restaurants on base so that's our only choice. While waiting for our food, my son keep smiling at me so I took some snapshots..
Here are faces of my son's happiness........ Enjoy!
This was taken when we were at the furniture store .. he found this lava lamp and he liked it so much that he didn't wanna take his eyes off of it..

Need Answers

There are times that we thought everything is perfectly alright. That we are filled with so much happiness, excitement and overjoyed with something that we really don't expect to have. But then again, with those uplifting emotions, you suddenly felt like you were cheated because something was taken away from you with reasons you don't know.
Nakakainis yung ganon diba? Yung bigla na lang kukunin sayo ng wala man lang clarity kung bakit... Napapaisip ka tuloy, what did I do wrong? Sabi nga nila always Expect the Unexpected. Oh well, part of life diba.. live and learn!

The Messianic Banquet

Human life is a remarkable mixture of that famous "smile and a tear." We all have our ups and downs in life. We attend both weddings and funerals. Parents witness graduation and often the failures of their children as well. Married life can be like the smell of roses and turn into a nightmare. Young people are successful todayand can be turned down tomorrow. Friends may disappoint us and we may witness infidelity not only in our government but even in our church. All these may leave us confused and downcast. What are we to do. Are we to give up our faith in God? This is yesterday's reflection from the church my dear friends. I know that most of us are so busy with our daily lives trying to meet both ends meet that sometimes we forget our Sunday obligation of going to Church. But it doesn't mean that we don't really have time for God. For me it's not really important that we go to Church regularly as long as we believe that in our lives there's GOD. Prayer for me is the most important, because you can do it even at work or wherever you are. Just don't forget to include a minute of your time to talk to HIM if possible!

Laughter

They always say that laughter is the best medicine... Do you believe in this? I DO! It also a great exercise for our face especially our jaw. Laughing increases oxygen intake, thereby replenishing and invigorating cells.
Nothing is more important than happiness - it has a global effect on all areas of your life including success and even health. Here's just one of many findings about the benefits: researchers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, found that people who laughed the least were 40 per cent more likely to suffer from heart disease than people who laughed more frequently.
^Laughing engages almost every major part of your body.
^When you laugh, you lose muscular control (fall over, bend over or wet yourself).
^Laughter exercises your diaphragm. The diaphragm separates your chest cavity and your abdomen.
^When you laugh, it convulses and gives your organs a much-needed massage, stimulating circulation and enhancing general wellbeing.
^When you laugh, your heart rate and blood pressure increase, dilating your cardiovascular system. When you stop, they decrease to below normal. Laughing ultimately lowers heart rate and blood pressure.Laughing increases oxygen intake.
^When we laugh, we gulp in air. Because the cardiovascular system is already dilated, the oxygen moves a lot faster to already relaxed muscles. This is one reason why you feel so good afterwards.
^Laughing balances the brain. During normal beta activity, the left and right sides of your brain look different under a PET (positron emission tomography) scan. When you laugh, both sides look almost identical.
^Laughing releases the body's natural opiates and pain reliever; beta-endorphins.
^When you laugh, your head and your facial muscles move. These muscles are connected to your thymus gland, which in turn is responsible for your immune system. The more you laugh, the better your immune system. The results of this are a release of tension, extreme relaxation, bonding with fellow laughers and, very often, the end of conflict and enough mental space to work out a resolution
Laugh often, long and loud. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with them.

A Candle of Life

One of our close friend back in the States has been diagnosed with uterus cancer and will have a surgery soon. Please help me pray for her safe operation and fast recovery. She sent me this prayer and I hope that you can share a little time to stop by and read this and hopefully let this circulate in the blog sphere.
Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen. All you are asked to do is keep this circulating, even if it's to one more person. In memory of anyone you know that has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it. A Candle Loses Nothing by Lighting Another Candle. Please Keep This Candle Going! There will be a cure soon. Thank you. Gaile Seevers.

YAKISOBA

I woke up early this morning so I can grab some opps while the kids are still asleep and I got lucky to have one. After I got done and submitted it, I started preparing the ingredients I need for our breakfast. I was in the middle when everything came off.. Oh my, I totally forgot about the power outage today. Not a good situation during summer, whew! But anyhow, I told my kids if they would like to go to the Gym so we can play while the electric is out. They like the idea so we head out there and played for about two hours and then came back home. When the power resumed, I cooked our suppose to be breakfast YAKISOBA and ate it for brunch. Masarap na pansit mga kababayan! Miss ko na kasi ang pansit hehehe..
